2010oscars_kristenstewart.jpg

Has Twilight's Kristen Stewart taken the subject of vampires too far? That's what we want to know with our special Oscars reader poll. Yay or Nay? Sharon Stone's gangster-meets-cabaret Dior ensemble

Some are loving it and some are despising it. So who better to ask than you guys! Sharon Stone made quite the entrance at the Elton John AIDS Foundation's "An Enduring Vision" benefit in New York City on Monday. The actress threw the fashion rule book away by fronting up in a sheer black lace fishtail Christian Dior couture gown which she matched with a black leather trench, long gloves and a fedora hat. Perhaps she was going for the gangster-meets-cabaret singer look? But was it brilliant and ballsy or bizarre and a complete balls-up? Tell us by voting in our Yay or Nay poll below. [Image: PicApp]

Yay or Nay? Katy Perry's technicolour print Basso & Brooke suit

Never one to shy away from crazy clothes, Katy Perry turned heads once again this week for her unique fashion sense. The singer was spotted leaving her concert in New York in this technicolour Japanese-print suit from Basso & Brooke's spring '09 collection.

"Katy has been requesting it from our PR for months," Chris Brooke revealed to Grazia. "She wanted to wear it on New Year's Eve but it was always out being used in shoots. In fact she has worn quite a bit of our stuff." It was a bold choice for Katy, who recently chopped off her locks into a sleek bob, but was it the right one? You tell us - vote yay or nay in our reader poll below!

We all know that Nicole Richie is a big fan of the boho look. But has she taken it too far this time? The reality TV star and soon-to-be-mum-again co-hosted a fundraiser on behalf the Richie-Madden Children's Foundation for UNICEF's Tap Project this week. Sticking with her hippy style, she chose this blue and blood red tie-dye silk maxi dress, minimum accessories and wavy hair for the occasion. What do you make of her ensemble - is it a yay or nay? Vote in our poll below.

Hot or Not: Katie Holmes' Christian Lacroix Haute Couture dress at the Brazilian premiere of 'Valkyrie'

Alison Yau writes...

Katie Holmes' fashion choices always seem to cause a bit of a stir whether she is wearing husband Tom Cruise's jeans or being the new face of the Miu Miu S/S 09 ad campaign. Here she is supporting her husband in Rio de Janeiro at the Brazilian premiere of his film Valkyrie wearing a Christian Lacroix Haute Couture dress.

I love the flapper-ishness of it, as well as the intricate detailing, but I've always been told when it comes to clothing "red and green should never be seen" so this combination paired with the blue ribbon is just a bit too much for me. Katie's hair and makeup look great, but do you think the dress lets her whole look down? Or is it the perfect dress for the premiere? Vote in our poll below.

Hot or Not: Scarlett Johansson on Jay Leno

scarlettjohansson_leno_nov0.jpg

It seems the new darker locks (or perhaps married life) has caused something of a style shakeup for the always lovely Scarlett Johansson. Gone (for now anyway) are the skin-tight, cleavage-exposing frocks and incoming are the waist-nipping florals and flirty full-circle skirts... yes, she always wore these but now she's wearing them more frequently. ScarJo has always exuded "sexy bombshell" in buckets, and rather sickeningly, even when she does clip her hair back in a schoolmarmish bun. But is this look working for her or should she return to her red lipstick-wearing ways? Let us know by leaving a comment below.

Yay or Nay: Jennifer Connelly at 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' NY premiere

jenniferconnolly_yayornay.jpg

Balenciaga devotee Jennifer Connelly stayed true to her fashion house when she stepped out in this sparkly aqua number at the premiere of her new film The Day the Earth Stood Still in New York last night. With long, sleek hair (extensions?) and some really subtle yet gorgeous peep-toe heels, she looked fresh and glowing. The party sequin frock and flowing hair is a bit of a departure from the look I'm used to her sporting (neutral-toned architectural dresses and a swept-back 'do) but I really like the change. What do you think? Vote below.
