Yay or Nay: the Hello Kitty hooded tee from Hot Topic

Last week we decided that Nicole Scherzinger's Egyptian-style dress at the VMAs was a definite "Yay"! This week's questionable clothing item is from Hot Topic.

Now, while I strongly dislike Hello Kitty, I know a lot of women do really like her. But what do you think of this Hello Kitty hooded tee? It has potential to be really cute, but it sort of looks like those hooded blanket that are used for babies when they get out of the bath...

Yay or Nay Wednesday: Nicole Scherzinger's dress at the VMAs

Last week we decided that the fleece pullover hoodie dress from American Apparel was a definite Yay! Now, what do you think of The Pussy Cat Dolls' front woman Nicole Scherzinger at the MTV Video Music Awards?

At first I thought she looked like she was wearing a bad Nefertiti Halloween costume, but upon closer inspection, I'm starting to think she looked pretty fierce. However, I'm still not completely convinced that Nicole's fashion choice wasn't a flop. What do you think?

Yay or Nay Wednesday: the fleece, pullover hoodie dress from American Apparel

Last week's Yay or Nay was the yellow snake scale dress from Tibi, which Catwalk Queen reader Sneaux so lovingly described as "the most hideous dress I think I've ever seen". I must admit it's not the most hideous dress I've ever seen, but it's pretty high up there on the list.

What do you think of this fleece, pullover hoodie dress from American Apparel? While it looks really comfortable, I'm not so sure I'd wear it as a dress. And even wearing it over jeans may be a bit tricky as I feel it might just emphasis my hips...

Yay or Nay Wednesday: the Tibi scale print dress

We sparked quite a debate between the fur lovers and fur haters last week when we asked you if you'd rather go naked than wear fur. An overwhelming number of you agreed that fur was an immoral fashion choice. This week have the Tibi scale print dress...

While animal print, as seen on the cover of Paris Vogue, seems to be "in", I'm not sure snake scales are. The print may not be so bad if it weren't for the extremely bright yellow color. What do you think? Is this a Yay or a Nay?

Yay or Nay Wednesday: would you rather go naked than wear fur?

Our last Yay or Nay was the petunia swing turtleneck from Anthropologie. Most of you said that it was a wholehearted "Nay!", although one our our fabulous readers pointed out they "think it would look great on someone with long brown hair and a chunky fringe".

We featured Janice Dickinson marching (half) naked with her (fully) naked male models in protest of wearing fur, earlier this week. This got me thinking. Would you, in fact, rather go naked instead of wearing fur like Janice? Yay or Nay?

Yay or Nay Wednesday: the Petunia Swing Turtleneck from Anthropologie

Last week we were a bit torn on Jennifer Lopez's new look. Some of you agreed with me and thought the "dresses look unnatural on her", and some of you said that she looked "glam and elegant". This week's Yay or Nay comes courtesy of Anthropologie...

I love Anthropologie, however, this Petunia Swing Turtleneck is borderline frumpy. The flowers look they belong quilt on my grandma's bed, but I can see how it has potential. What do you ladies think?

Yay or Nay Wednesday: Has Jenny from the Block gone too demure?

Last week we noticed a bit of a similarity between the way that Jada Pinkett Smith and Victoria Beckham dressed at The Cruises' welcome party for the Beckhams in LA. This week, I'd like to know what you ladies think about Jennifer Lopez's recent fashion choices...

jennifer_lopez.jpg

Jenny from the Block looks rather demure, doesn't she? I think Jennifer Lopez makes excellent fashion choices, but these dresses - and her love affair with Marchesa - just seem to strip her of her edge. Do you think she looks lovely, and glam? Or do you think she's lost her street cred and looks too "wifey"?
