The first time that I saw this dress designed by Marchesa for their autumn/winter 08 collection, I couldn't quite picture who would wear it and not look like a muppet in it. It is after all, a difficult piece to pull off. In my humble opinion, I think actress Lake Bell is doing a pretty decent job of it. Attending the première of her new film What Happens in Vegas, the 29-year-old joined her fellow co-star Ashton Kutcher (leading lady Cameron Diaz was understandably absent) wearing the unusual red number, which features ruffled shoulder detail and voluminous pockets.
What do you think of Bell's look? Does she pull it off? Vote Yay or Nay in our poll below the cut...
I've always been a fan of Natasha Bedingfield's song Single, but somehow her fashion sense always has be a little perplexed. Here's a prime example of why... she's at the launch party for Jade Jagger's $250,000 Belvedere Jagger Dagger, and she's wearing a tuxedo inspifred halter-neck crop top. Yes you can argue that she has the body for it, but it's not a very nice look. What do you think, yay or nay?
So long Prada turban, hello Marc Jacobs furry headband.. or not! Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted out last night pushing that fashion envelope again with her unusual ensemble at the New Yorkers For Children New Year's in April Fete. The tiny twin took a shine to the strange head wear from Marc Jacobs' A/W 08 collection, teaming it with a two-sizes-too-big floor-length kimono dress and yellow clutch. If you ask me, it's all just a little too sloppy for my liking. There is a difference between throwing an outfit together in the usual Olsen style, and looking like you just rolled out of a designer dumpster.
What do you think? Is this outfit a Yay or Nay for Mary-Kate? Vote in our reader poll, after the jump...
Japanese actress (and former Chanel face), Rinko Kikuchi, showed off a new look at 'The Crossing' gala event held in Switzerland last night with the glamourous Oscar nominated actress wearing a rather unisex look. She wore a boat neck grey top tucked into high waited baggy trousers with white shoes and a bright blue vest. Not quite the expected red carpet attire, the look does look slightly edgy (though missing the requisite edgy accessory) but also slightly strange...
Living up to her new title as Britian's most influential style icon, Coleen McLoughlin was spotted at Aintree Races last week in this mini Balenciaga floral dress. The soon-to-be Mrs Wayne Rooney attended the annual event to judge the racetrack's style competition. She teamed her outfit with a bright pair of blue and yellow peep-toe Christian Louboutin shoes, diamond earrings and bracelet. Compared to other race-goers, McLoughlin looked a real treat. But what do you think of her choice, yay or nay? Keep reading to cast your vote.
Has Kate Bosworth been hanging out with Lindsay Lohan and her planned leggings label? The sight of the gorgeous actress, outside the New York studios of the Late Show with David Letterman, in this dress/leggings combo, certainly has folks talking. Her all-black ensemble was a mixture of designer clobber, including an embellished Chloé dress and a Calandra jacket by Twenty8Twelve (pick up a cream version now for £230 at My-wardrobe.com). But it's the thick patterned leggings worn underneath her outfit that has seen her land on our radar (again!).
What are your thoughts? Is this outfit a Yay or Nay? Keep reading to vote in our poll!
What comes to mind when you see these images of Kate Bosworth in Chanel couture at the premiere of the her latest flick, 21, in Las Vegas? Part of me screams "no" at the bodice detail which alternates between ruffles and sequins, with the look finished off with sheer long fingerless gloves. Snaps for Kate for trying to pull this look off, because it is intriguing (and different) but I don't think the dress fits her well. The bodice seems to sit awkwardly, while the skirt seems really stiff just hanging above her natural waist line. On the plus side, the mini hemline makes her legs look like they go on for days.
