Lily Allen aka Hurricane Lily certainly made an impact at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards earlier this week. She came, she saw, she left a trail of destruction in her wake (well, not really but her new pink 'do and drinking antics have been big talking points haven't they?)

You would be forgiven for thinking that Thandie Newton is wearing Matthew Williamson here. After all, does she wear anything else? (I'm just jealous!) But in a surprising move, the actress was spotted at the Lavender Trust 10th anniversary bash last night in a design by Roberto Cavalli, from his A/W '08 collection. In true Cavalli form, there is a lot going on in this dress - sequins, sheer mesh, floral, there is also a touch of hippy boho in the skirt section. It is an unusual piece and one that most stars would probably steer clear of, but does Thandie do it justice?
