Gemma Cartwright

Editor-in-Chief

Gemma launched Catwalk Queen whilst studying for a degree in Fashion Journalism at The London College of Fashion. During this time, the site was nominated for an EMAP Fanzine Award, and Gemma was described as one of the 'Editors of the Future' by The Independent. She worked on the site until 2009, when she took some time out to work on other online projects. She joined Aigua Media in 2011 and is delighted to be back at the helm of Catwalk Queen!

Throughout her career, Gemma has worked closely with brands and retailers. She has guest edited blogs for Topshop, Evans and Grazia and appeared in Vogue, The Guardian Online, The Observer, The Telegraph, The Independent, Cosmopolitan, Company, SHE and The Evening Standard to name but a few. She has also judged a modelling competition, hosted workshops at Britain's Next Top Model Live, Graduate Fashion Week and The Ideal Home Show and appeared on Sky News.

In 2011, The Telegraph Online listed Gemma as the third most influential UK fashion insider on Twitter. She has appeared twice in the Online Fashion 100.

In her spare time, Gemma edits the curvy fashion blog Big Girls Browse. You can find her style and beauty advice, plus her famous paella recipe, in Domestic Sluttery: Cheat Your Way To The Perfect Lifestyle, published by Pavillion Books.
