The first of the red carpet pictures from the Oscars are now filtering in. One of early bird arrivals were Vanessa Hudgens and boyfriend Zac Efron. Dressed in a stunning black-and-white strapless Marchesa S/S 09 gown, featuring a tulle fishtail, the young High School Musical star showed a maturity beyond her years.
Amongst all the fashion week madness, you may have forgotten that Sunday night is the biggest night on the red carpet calendar and my favourite night of the year, The Academy Awards. Stars like Kate Winslet, Anne Hathaway, Amy Adams, Angelina Jolie, Penelope Cruz and Marisa Tomei are expected to walk the Oscars red carpet, and everyone wants to know what they'll be wearing. Rumours are rife and designers are battling for the 'free' publicity in the midst of a recession, and I've made a few predictions. It wouldn't be an awards show without a bit of sparkle 'arkle, and who better to bring the glitz than Beyonce? For this occasion, the diva returned to her old reliable of Elie Saab, showing off her curves in this white number that is slit to the thigh. For extra bling, she added a huge diamond necklace that I'm sure is worth a pretty penny. While Megan Fox chose the Golden Globes to be a golden girl in this intricately embellished Ralph Lauren frock. But which star sparkles the brightest? Vote in our poll below.
I love you. Not quite in the Lindsay Lohan/Sam Ronson kinda way, but yes I do have a girl crush on you. When everyone else is sporting the same ole' strapless, fishtail, black or nude number on the red carpet, you once again outshine them all in what else but a print - genius! You were one of the very few brave enough to don a print at the Golden Globes, and this Lanvin blue animal spot looks divine on you.
This year's Miss Golden Globes is Rumer Willis who attended with her mum Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and her actor boyfriend Micah Alberti. Wearing a strapless eggplant Reem Acra gown, with embellished waistline, the 20-year-old admitted that she has been practising her award skills: "They're [the recipients] kind of in a daze that they won, but you kind of have to get them to stand in the right place. I'm working on getting my traffic thing going on. The main thing is you have to practice walking in the heels so you don't trip or anything."
