The attire was an all-black affair for the special screening of Tom Ford's directorial debut, A Single Man, in New York last night. The designer was joined by the film's stars Colin Firth and Julianne Moore (dressed head-to-toe in black) as well as a covert-looking Madonna. The Princess of Pop made an appearance wearing a black duvet-style jacket, feathered scarf and dark glasses - hello superstar! The event, which was hosted by The Cinema Society and Bing, also attracted the likes of Padma Lakshmi, Tamara Mellon and Olivia Palermo.

Following on from last year's silent film that he made for his pre-fall 2009 Chanel collection, "Paris-Moscow" comes Karl Lagerfeld's latest movie-making effort. The designer has once again created a short film for his pre-fall 2010 collection, "Paris-Shanghai". Inviting Edita Vilkeviciute to star as a young Coco for the second time, the 22 minute film also includes dialogue. Other famous faces to feature alongside Edita include Heidi Mount, Freja Beha Erichsen, and Lagerfeld-favourite, Baptiste Giabiconi. Part 1 is above, click on for parts 2 and 3.

Look out Hollywood, here comes Carla Bruni-Sarkozy! Well... maybe. The former supermodel-turned-first-lady has revealed that she is in talks to star in a Woody Allen film.
"I don't know for what role but I said yes," she said during an interview on French TV. "Perhaps I will be very bad... "When I'm a grandmother, I'd like to be able say I've made a film with Woody Allen."
It was the night many of Twilight's American fans had been longing for - on par with being devoured by Rob Pattinson I'm sure. The red carpet was rolled out in Los Angeles for the US premiere of New Moon last night. Drawing thousands, mostly screaming young girls, and a list of Hollywood stars, it wasn't the boyss but rather the girls who stole the show.
Kristen Stewart took the opportunity to reveal a more feminine side with a floor-length strapless tulle Oscar de la Renta gown. It was a refreshing look for the 19-year-old who was once again a little let down in the hair department. It seems that Joan Jett haircut is posing a few problems for Kristen when it comes to frocking up. I wonder if she took this up with Joan, who was also in attendance at the premiere.
