Spring coats are wonderful things. You get the structure of a coat to pull your outfit together, they keep you warm on chilly spring evenings, plus you don't have to tote something really heavy around with you when you're not wearing it. We've seen quite a few Peter Pan collars around over autumn and winter due to the 60s revival, but this gold satin-effect coat from Kirsty by Kirsty Doyle is firmly spring attire given its short sleeves. The bows on the cuffs take it from plain to very cute, and it's available from Additions Direct for £59.
You'll probably recognise Kirsty's name - she was the winner of the first series of Project Catwalk last year and her talent has clearly been recognised by high street retailers, resulting in her diffusion line, Kirsty by Kirsty Doyle.

After much waiting, we finally have the next Project Catwalk on our screens! We can now go back to scoffing at hideous outfits, gasping at amazing creations and giggling at bitchy comments from the judges. Part one aired on Monday night (Sky One at 8pm - spoilers after the jump so don't read if you're waiting to watch it), and I was really looking forward to finding out about the new budding designers and seeing what they'd come up with...

Great news for those of you found Elizabeth 'don't call me Liz' Hurley mind-numbingly awful when she presented Project Catwalk earlier this year...she won't be back for the new series. Rumour has it the producers thought she was a bit wooden on camera (no?! Really?) and have chosen to replace her with another 'sleb who also appeared (fleetingly) in series one. Sadly, it's not our new favourite model Erin O'Connor, but Kelly Osbourne! It'll be interesting to see how our Kel copes with the rest of the judges, especially if Julien MacDonald is back for another round of bitching. I smell a catwalk cat fight!
Sorry Liz, but fashion has no mercy.

If you've not yet seen the Project Catwalk final and don't want it ruined for you, I suggest you stop reading here. There'll be a full Catwalk Queen report of the final coming soon (time to rewind that video so I can really study the outfits) but by request I decided to post the result as soon as it aired on Sky One. So, without further ado, the winner is...

To save those of you who missed last night's Project Catwalk semi-final and are waiting for the repeat on Tuesday (Sky Two at 9pm), this week's report is going behind a cut. This was the last heat before the big London Fashion Week finale, and the four remaining designers were given their biggest challenge yet (apparently). Designing a red carpet dress for hostess with the mostess (ha ha!) Elizabeth 'don't call me Liz even though Julien does' Hurley...

Tonight is the semi-final of Project Catwalk, so I decided it was time for a mini-update. The fashion content of the shows has taken a backseat to the backstabbing drama over recent weeks, which is why I've not been reporting quite so excitedly as I did during the first few episodes. Now, as we move towards next week's final, it's time for a recap...

This week's Project Catwalk was all about the models. They were given control of the designers, and became more than just mannequins. This time they were also clients. Each of the girls got the chance to choose the designer they'd most like to design the most important dress of their life - their wedding dress. Then it was time to share design ideas and come to that impossible thing - a compromise - over what the models wanted and what would look good for the designers. And the results? Well...
