British Vogue's first issue for the decade has hit stands and it stars the beautiful Rachel Weisz on the cover.
Photographed by Tom Craig in London, the actress is plugging her latest role in the film The Lovely Bones. Rachel describes her character as, "a dreamer who always dresses up - even to go to the laundrette."
In the meantime, it seems as though V magazine are planning on making a statement with their January 2010 issue. The fashion glossy is reportedly dedicating the entire edition to plus-size models.

Always usually one step ahead of the game, Vogue Italia has taken inspiration from the social phenomenon that is Twitter for its December issue. The cover is a collage of Twitpic-style photos of models including Lara Stone, Gisele Bündchen, Natalia Vodianova, Christy Turlington and Kasia Struss. Although they appear self-taken and amateurish, they have in fact, been taken under the direction of Steven Meisel - very clever! Just like Franca Sozzani's ground-breaking all-black issue for the mag, this is another one that is bound to get folks talking, or tweeting rather.

Bringing the sex kitten to Harper's Bazaar this month is Scarlett Johansson. The actress has landed the cover of the January 2010 issue in a range of animal-print fashions. Speaking of her aid work in Africa, ScaJo told the mag: "You do gain a certain perspective when you see how people get by with so little and how they're just happy to have simple things like a well with clean water nearby. I felt lucky just to live somewhere that has running water. Suddenly a toilet seems such a luxury. It's miraculous! You really are thankful for the small things."
ScarJo is also the face of Mango, which will now be distributed via J.C. Penney's in the US next autumn, it was revealed today.

Two of our favourite supermodels are talking beauty at the moment. Speaking to Elle magazine, Helena Christensen says she is "flabbergasted" that people can be offended by images of naked women.
Stripping off for the new January issue, she said: "I have no problems with showing my body. I love the female shape. It's crazy - you can have movie posters with men with machine guns but oh, God forbid you show nipples. That never ceases to amaze me. It's flabbergasting. So I have no problems with it. But I'm Danish. Everyone's naked on the beaches."
Meanwhile, another famous model has admitted to using Botox...

We love to see one of our own flying the flag abroad. Kicking off 2010 on a British note is Elle Canada. The glossy has tapped Lily Cole for their new January cover, which was snapped by Rankin. Inside the mag, Lily discusses the transition from model to actress: "Film asks for a much bigger emotional and intellectual commitment." Her acting credits include St. Trinian's and most recently The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
OMFG! Feast your eyes on the brand spanking new cover for Candace Bushnell's forthcoming novel, The Carrie Diaries, a teen prequel to Sex and the City.
While the book and the film, SATC 2, may not be slated for release until next year, I'm guessing fashion fans will be clamouring to get their hands on the next slice of Carrie Bradshaw if the cover if anything to go by. Hello Louis Vuitton!
Set in high school, the novel follows a young frizzy-haired Carrie as she learns her first lessons in life and love. We find out where she gets her interest in fashion and how she begins her career as a writer. Does this mean there be a third film in the works as well...?
The Carrie Diaries will be published on April 27, 2010 by HarperCollins. For all the latest in chick lit news, visit our sister site Trashionista.
