2010 is already looking up for Luella Bartley. Not only was she named in the Queen's New Year's Honours list and will receive an MBE, she has just released details of an upcoming book.
The British designer has written a style book, loosely titled Luella's Guide to English Style. Publication of the guide was postponed last year due to Luella's other obligations. Now with more time to focus on the project she hopes to see it released in time for London Fashion Week in September.
"She's doing all the writing herself. It's a style guide," said a spokesperson for publishers, Fourth Estate. "It's not going to be just a book about fashion. It's a work of social anthropology." I'm looking forward to getting my mitts on this one.

"I loved the opportunity to show that you can be beautiful and sexy outside the narrow interpretations that normally define us," said Norweigan photographer, Solve Sundsbo who took these photos.

Looking every bit the African Queen is Naomi Campbell, who has been captured by David LaChapelle for FLAUNT magazine. The British supermodel and the famed photographer have created a piece of art imagery, which is titled "The Rape of Africa," from his latest exhibition. Click here to see the full fold-out version.
In other brief Naomi news, she is also set to guest edit one of the upcoming spring issues for Vogue Russia. I guess she really is starting to feel at home in her boyfriend's native country.

Beth Ditto stripped off for their first-ever issue, and now Lara Stone is following suit (or no suit as the case may be) for LOVE's Spring/Summer 2010 issue. With her most intimate parts carefully concealed behind a couple of stamps, Stone was photographed in the nude by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

British Vogue's first issue for the decade has hit stands and it stars the beautiful Rachel Weisz on the cover.
Photographed by Tom Craig in London, the actress is plugging her latest role in the film The Lovely Bones. Rachel describes her character as, "a dreamer who always dresses up - even to go to the laundrette."
In the meantime, it seems as though V magazine are planning on making a statement with their January 2010 issue. The fashion glossy is reportedly dedicating the entire edition to plus-size models.
