It's not really feeling much like summer at the moment. And bummer - it's also not quite autumn yet. So any pieces that can tide you over in the meantime and be worn a multitude of ways, are both welcomed and revered. This skirted merino sweater from Manoush (£190), although not cheap, is one of those pieces where the pricetag doesn't matter so much since it's just bursting with possibilties...
Wear unbuttoned over a white tank and denim cutoffs for a lazy summer day look, or try pairing with black leggings and wedges for those summer days when the sun is tucked behind the clouds. Wear over the top of a bodycon dress for that double-skirted look we're seeing a lot lately or layer a polo neck jumper underneath, and add black skinny jeans and ankle boots for when it really does cool down.
With the weather as changeable as it currently is, it's a good idea to stash something in your bag to cover up with when the clouds come in. Cardigans, according to my colleague, are the answer. But exactly what do you go for? The shops are full of everything from kimono knits to fitted fifties shapes, so I've picked ten of the best to help you choose. Victoria Beckham was caught out in her PJs yesterday (oh the scandal!), after the flight she was on from Los Angeles to London was halted before it had even taken off. Having already changed into 'standard-issue' pyjamas provided by the airline and with her face scrubbed clean of make-up, Posh stayed on board the aircraft for a quick makeover while the rest of the passengers evacuated. She emerged some time later in a more recognisable guise of heels, Birkin and sunnies, as she and sons Romeo and Cruz were taken back to the terminal separately.
What would I have suggested Posh wear in an emergency such as this one? Read on to find out...

Forget 'Team Aniston' t-shirts and the like, if you're going to declare your love for anyone make it Peter Jensen. The designer who has used Christina of Denmark and Candice Marie from 'Nuts in May' lets his humorous side show with this uber-cute preppy jumper. It's £129 from Brittique and features an extra-large 'P' for Peter emblazoned on the front.
Team it with a fitted pencil skirt in a bright colour, penny loafers and a pair of retro shades for a cute ironic take on the preppy look.
Young knitwear extraordinaire Louise Goldin is vying to win the prestigious Wool Secretariat Award, recently revived by the Australian Wool Innovation (AWI).
The award, now renamed the Woolmark Prize, was once won by Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent back in the Fifties when they were just wee things. Now the AWI is promoting the prize as part of its new partnership with Woolmark Co., which it acquired last year.

Has hooded cardigan’s go, how are you at picking the price? I don’t know anyone who spends much on loungewear because you essentially just wear it around the house or to quick runs to the shops to pick up the paper or the milk. So the price of this shocked me to say the least.
Can you guess the price?
Here’s a little about it: it’s oversize, made from a blend of silk and cashmere, features ribbon trim, and half length batwing sleeves.
See below for the designer and price.

The Chanel spring 2008 runway was overrun with stars and stripes last September, prompting trend forecasters to announce that stars were the new polka dots for spring summer 2008. While I haven’t seen too many star print pieces yet (though ASOS.com have been on the ball and added some this week) they are sure to start appearing in a chain store near you soon.
If chain store goods are not your thing, perhaps you could consider purchasing this Queen and Belle navy cardigan with a star print from MatchesFashion.com. It’s 100% cashmere and would look great belted down with a thin or thick belt, worn with jeans, a skirt or over a dress. Even though there is a lot of ways to wear it, can you justify the £508 price tag?
