It is Moss's eighth range for the retailer, and it shows no sign of slowing down if yesterday's success is anything to go by. According to the Daily Mail, scores of young women flocked to Topshop's flagship store in Oxford Circus, queuing for more than an hour before it opened to get their hands on Moss's latest creations.
It is that time of year again, when we take a look at Kate Moss's latest holiday collection for Topshop, a combination of glitzy eveningwear, vintage-inspired pieces, and lots of embellishment. However, this year's collection has a slight twist - it features a very, very limited edition dress... so exclusive that Topshop has only made 10 of them at £400 a pop. Pictured below, the floor-length blue sequinned gown is based on that famous dress, once owned by Britt Eckland, that Kate Moss wore to her 30th birthday. Eckland previously wore the dress to the premiere of The Man With the Golden Gun, so you can see the Bond-girl link here with this range.
The range hits stores 28th October, so stay glued to the website. More of the collection can be viewed in our gallery.
You have heard us bang on about BBC Two's new show, British Style Genius, for a while now, and with good reason too. The docu-series premiered this week on our TV screens, but if you happened to miss it then you're in luck. One of the highlights of this week's programme was the behind-the-scenes footage of Kate Moss and Sir Philip Green at the Topshop offices a week after her debut collection hit stores, waaay back in April 2007. We've managed to find a clip of that footage, were you get to hear Kate speak (yes, speak!) about the reaction to her sell-out first range. Click play above to watch.
You can catch another clip from the show, after the jump...
It was only a matter of time before someone wrote a Kate Moss style biography, wasn't it? The good news with this one is that it's actually good, and written by someone who has access to all the right people.
'Kate Moss Style' is a glossy, photo-filled hardback book penned by stylist, journalist, author and all-round fashionista Angela Buttolph. It's released today, but I was lucky enough to get hold of a preview copy, which means I've had plenty of time to delve into the stylish world of Mossy. It tells her life story through her clothes and haircuts, which is surprisingly compelling...
That's right... Amidst all the hype of New York Fashion Week, you may be forgiven for forgetting that Kate Moss's latest range for Topshop hits stores today. Or if for some strange reason you are awake right now and reading this, then mosey on over to Topshop's website, as the collection is available to purchase from 6am this morning. Already on my shopping list is this plunging babydoll dress for £65 (pictured above). Happy shopping!
P.S. Topshop USA will also launch its website today.
Kate Moss for Topshop round 456 (ahem, I mean her autumn/winter 2008-9 collection) is due to hit stores September 9th. Meanwhile, today's funny Moss story centres around her party pash with Ol' Blue Eyes a.k.a. Frank Sinatra. Want to find out exactly what happened? Then read on...
Could Kate Moss for Topshop soon be coming China's way? That is the buzz right now, after the Daily Mail reported that Sir Philip Green is in the midst of signing a deal to rent a space at the Shanghai Superbrand Mall, with further locations tipped for Beijing and Hong Kong.
"For the Chinese teenager with an eye on Western fashions, Kate Moss is pretty much the coolest person on the planet. Philip Green knows that only too well," a source told the paper.
If true, then Moss looks set to reap some pretty major rewards, i.e. about £25 million worth.
