Calvin Klein is no stranger to sexing up the screen, and although he hasn't made a TV commercial for his jeans line since the Eighties, he clearly hasn't forgotten what it takes to cause controversy. Shot by Steven Meisel the grainy commercial has already got some hot under the collar, prompting it to even be banned from late-night cable TV in the U.S. It stars models Anna Selezneva, Anna Jagodzinska and Natasha Poly writhing around on a sofa in little more than just their Calvins. Just like Eva Mendes's steamy ad for CK Secret Obsession, I doubt we'll get to see this pearler on any screen but the computer one. Click play on the above video to see for yourself.
If you're a fan of wearing boots over jeans, but get constantly annoyed when your jeans ride up and the knees bunch, then borrow this tip from one of our readers and invest in some Jodphur clips.
Fasten one clip of the rubber strap to the bottom of your jeans, wrap it under your foot and then clip onto the other side of the leg, and you've got a handmade stirrup that'll keep your jeans secure under boots and help prevent creases and puckering. No more tucking them into socks or constantly re-arranging your jeans.
Much to my dismay, loads of people come to Catwalk Queen after searching for wet look leggings, how to wear leggings or shiny leggings. I say 'much to my dismay' because these babies are never going to look good on my chunky thighs.
Ah well, if you've got better legs than me and want to give shiny or wet look leggings a go without breaking the bank, you can't go far wrong at New Look. All the styles above are available on their website, with even the most expensive ones (the black rats style 'satin treggings') only setting you back £15. Form an orderly queue now, ladies...
We've known Topshop have had a little ol' soft spot for cult Aussie label Sass & Bide for quite some time (they collaborated on an entire denim line after all). However it wasn't until the last harlequin-inspired collection for Autumn/Winter that we realised how much so...
Fans of Sass & Bide's Rainbows for Kate collection would have seen a few lookalikey's popping up here and there, but the Big One has just landed in store: ruched leggings very much like the infamous Black Rats which are selling out all over the place. While the Rats are priced at £93 at the likes of Net-a-Porter and My-Wardrobe, Topshop's are just £22.
Her latest find is De La Sade, an L.A-based company which also sells pretty hot jewellery. Back to the piece de resistance, the leggings in question come in an astounding array of colours and patterns, and will look perfect teamed with skirts as a million-miles better alternative to opaques. Now I need to find another reason to moan about the state of my wardrobe...
We're big patterned legging fans on CQ; the weirder the better as far as I'm concerned and Twelve by Twelve the fancy Forever21 offshoot has an exciting haul of fancy leggings to dress up your outfits.
The textures and colours add a little interest to your outfits and look a helluva lot better than boring black. Starting at $15 a pop you can buy a couple and experiment, I love the houndstooth textured mustard pair but I'm at a bit of a loss as what to do with the high-waisted charcoal leggings. What would you wear them with?
We're in the middle of yet another round of press days at the moment (this time it's Spring / Summer - just what you want in November) and yesterday one of the places we visited was ILoveJeans.com, where I discovered the problem-solving brand 'Little in the Middle'. This is a really great discovery for the (many) women who find shopping for jeans tough because the waist-to-hip ratio is wrong. If you're hourglass or pear-shaped and find jeans usually gape at the waist if they fit elsewhere, this brand may just be your savior...
