On another whirlwind visit to London, Paris Hilton stopped by ITV's Loose Women yesterday, not in her usual designer garb but in a high street dress worth £30. The heiress appeared on British screens in a cream sheath dress, featuring black waist belt, from Dorothy Perkins. She joined the panel to talk about her new reality show, British Best Friend, which airs at 9pm, Thursday nights on ITV2. Did you watch it?

Fancy a bit of Phillip Lim inspired detailing for your first buy of the new season? Dorothy Perkins have taken the fan motif that featured heavily on Lim's Autumn / Winter collection (see Emmy Rossum in his cream silk dress above) and reworked it for Spring. The lemon coloured top is only £28 and is a great way of injecting a bit of colour into your wardrobe. I'd team it with grey slouchy trousers, shoe-boots and some chunky pewter bangles.

Fancy following in Rihanna, Lisa Snowdon and Tamsin Edgerton's footsteps by donning a bit of Peter Pilotto? Don't we all, but the highly-coveted designer dresses shown above left come at a cost, if you can even find them now we're heading into Spring...

Remember Katy Perry's EMA press conference outfit? New Look obviously do, as they've come up with a budget version of the Basso & Brooke dress that Katy wore in Liverpool last year...

It was only a matter of time before someone bought us a cheaper version of the heart-emblazoned Marc Jacobs dress that Victoria Beckham wore, and ASOS are the first to give it a go. Diluting the look for the mainstream, they've only added heart appliqué to the shoulder rather than the whole dress. I suppose it's up to you whether this is the right move, or if it turns something dramatic into just another embellished LBD.
If you fancy it, the dress (currently only in petite sizes) is £39.50 at ASOS.com.

We were as surprised as anyone to see Eva Longoria forgo her usual designer frocks for a Karen Millen number at the premiere of 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'. At £160, despite being easily available on the high street the dress was still out of most of our price ranges. But it's now down to £80, and after seeing Eva wearing it and making it look like a designer cocktail frock, I'm thoroughly tempted to snap up one of the final few size 14s that are available online. You might have more luck with other sizes in store...look out for the purple and cobalt versions too.

Eva Mendes' yellow Bill Blass dress helped her outshine Scarlett Johansson at the premiere of 'The Spirit', but at well over £1000, the dress probably isn't in most people's festive budget. Luckily, ASOS.com have come up trumps with a very similar dress. It might be slightly lighter in colour with frills in different places, but considering it could be winging its way to you this weekend for less than £10, I think it's a fair trade-off. There's free shipping at ASOS this weekend, so get this dress now for £9.79. If the yellow is too much for you, it also comes in a slightly more easy to wear cornflower blue.
