We all know Topshop have their eye on the fashion pulse, especially where London Fashion Week is concerned, so it's not really a surprise that they've paid homage to Henry Holland this season with two pairs of leggings that borrow their oversize dots from the House of Holland S/S 2009 collection. True devotees may want to team the ones on the left (£22) with that American Apparel dress for a 'Henry made this especially for me' look (they'll never know). The less brave might try the plain dotted ones (£20) with something black and slouchy.
Wallflowers, meanwhile, may wish to give the whole look a wide berth!

No prizes for guessing who inspired Lipsy with the dress on the right. The bandage style of the body-con dress is straight of the catwalk of Herve Leger, but it's the laced up shoulder we're more interested in. Taking its cue from a revealing Preen frock - as shown on unexpected fan Mandy Moore above - the high street version gives you the same detail without so many sheer panels. The back continues the lacing, with a full-length visible zip to finish it off. It's yours for £75, not cheap but a far cry from the £600+ you'll pay for similar Preen dresses.

Cheryl Cole was one of many celebs to fall in love with Matthew Williamson's puffy skirted minidress, and when she wore it during the X Factor, loads of people wanted to know where they could get a similar coral-coloured strapless minidress. So it's no surprise that Rare have come up with the 'Cheryl Bandeau Dress', which has everything except the embellished pockets. It's stocked at Oli.co.uk for £70 in a rather limited range of sizes (8 - 14).

We've mentioned Matalan's Be Beau range a few times, and today saw the official launch of the new younger fashion range from the bargain store. Drawing heavily on catwalk influences, there are some really good designer inspired pieces, including this boat tee (£10) which is a dead ringer for the nautical Dolce & Gabbana tunic sported by Alexandra Burke (above) and Katy Perry. Take advantage of Matalan's new online store and order online now to avoid queues.

Okay, so most of you weren't too keen on Madonna's feathered Louis Vuitton look last year (was it the colour? The feathers? Or the lady herself?) but we're sorry to tell you, you're probably going to find yourself coveting one next season. The texture and unlimited potential for pairing with other fun textures is just one of the best things about ostrich feathers and the totally glam image they give off isn't something to be laughed at either. This nude-coloured skirt by Topshop (£65) keeps the look fairly toned down (as opposed to the attention-seeking green of Madge's outfit) and its ability to be paired with anything from a white slouchy vest to leather to sequins means it will be an exciting addition to your wardrobe, we promise!
If you have been longing miserably for that Preen Power dress, knowing full well that you'll never be able to afford it, then cheer up.
The British designers have just launched their much cheaper diffusion range called Preen Line which has just landed at Net-a-porter.com.
It includes a more affordable version of the Power dress, as favoured by Gwyneth Paltrow and Cheryl Cole, known as the Tricks dress in an electric blue for £255.
I'm also crushing on a baby pink ruffled jersey T-shirt dress for £215. Thanks Thea and Justin!
There is no time for modest mouses in this American Apparel version (above, left) of House of Holland's spandex mesh dress (above, right). Their micro-mini long-sleeved nylon sheer dress leaves very little to the imagination. At least Holland's design, from his spring/summer '09 collection, attempts to cover up your lady parts with black-and-white spotted fabric. Nevertheless, if you think you can make this work (bless your heart!) then check it out at American Apparel's website, it's US$32. Me? I'll pass thanks.
