Two of our favourite young starlets, Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart, hit the red carpet together for the LA premiere of The Runaways. The biopic based on the name of the 1970s all-girl rock band, sees Dakota play the role of Cherie Currie and Kristen portray a young Joan Jett. The girls glammed it up for the film's premiere with Dakota wearing a glitzy metallic Valentino couture mini dress, while Kristen added a splash of colour in a bright pink Doo.Ri frock which featured sheer panels. Whose look do you like the most?
For many the wait is over... Alexander McQueen has launched an online store for the UK. You can now buy directly from the British designer's collections, which has been favoured lately by the likes of Cheryl Cole, Lady Gaga and Rihanna. Just this week Lily Cole stepped out for the Tokyo premiere of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus in psychedelic print mini dress from McQueen's spring/summer 2010 collection (pictured above).
It was another frock-fest at the New York première of Nine this week. The starlets hit the red carpet in their finest, with all eyes on Nicole Kidman and not her pretty Prada dress but rather her unfortunate make-up mishap - yikes! Meanwhile, Penelope Cruz was a Grecian goddess in Chanel red satin and Marion Cotillard played it safe in a white strapless Dior gown.
The stars braved a soggy Leicester Square last night for the London première of Guy Ritchie'sSherlock Holmes flick. Leading the pack were co-stars Rachel McAdams and Kelly Reilly who both donned Grecian-style floor-length dresses which managed to get a little damp at the hems. Rachel chose an ethereal one-shouldered grey gown with glittery embellishments designed by Andrew Gn and a pair of Christian Louboutin heels. I'm also loving the messy quaff/loose side braid.
Here at CQ we're all for taking a fashion risk every now and again. But I'm feeling a bit undecided about Lily Cole's long boot/suit ensemble, which she donned to the New York premiere of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus this week. The British model drew attention to those long legs of hers in a Jean Paul Gaultier brown pinstripe shorts and blazer suit with matching thigh-high boots. Although I applaud her for covering up her top-half with a white pussybow blouse - no tacky cleavage here folks! I turn this one over to you... is this a yay or nay for Lils? Vote below.
The attire was an all-black affair for the special screening of Tom Ford's directorial debut, A Single Man, in New York last night. The designer was joined by the film's stars Colin Firth and Julianne Moore (dressed head-to-toe in black) as well as a covert-looking Madonna. The Princess of Pop made an appearance wearing a black duvet-style jacket, feathered scarf and dark glasses - hello superstar! The event, which was hosted by The Cinema Society and Bing, also attracted the likes of Padma Lakshmi, Tamara Mellon and Olivia Palermo.

Anna Wintour is arguably the most powerful person in the fashion industry. Scrap that, she is the most powerful person in the fashion industry. With her bob, sunglasses and array of Prada day-dresses, she is an icon in her own right and her power extends from the pages of Vogue to the rails of Topshop.
When I sat down to the premiere of 'The September Issue' at the Edinburgh Film Festival I wasn't sure what to expect but with rumours of Balenciaga, boucle and bitching, I was excited to see the results of R.J Cutler's 9 months of research at Vogue... And I most definitely wasn't disappointed.
