One last video from New York Fashion Week: Monique Lhuillier

Well look at that, we still had one video from New York Fashion Week up our sleeve. Sorry for the delay in sharing this beautiful Monique Lhuillier Fall 2010 runway show. The model's last pass showcases what Lhuillier does best - beautiful eveningwear, this season slit up to there with bold black lace hosiery. Dresses and gowns were heavily detailed and embellished and we'd love to see a few on the Oscars red carpet next week.

Gallery: A look backstage at Carolina Herrera

While we've moved on to live coverage of London Fashion Week, we've still got some excellent tidbits to share from New York, like this gallery of images from the Carolina Herrera Fall 2010 show. A queen of elegance and American fashion, Herrera never disappoints and eveningwear was once again her stunning specialty. Hope you enjoy some of my personal photos from backstage and at the show! I was especially enamored to be in the presence of Karen Elsen and Agyness Deyn.

Also check out the details of the makeup look over on TheBeautyQuest!

New York Fashion Week: Proenza Schouler

Proenza Schouler - Runway - Fall 2010 MBFW

Attracting an it-girl front row which heaved with the likes of Nicole Richie, Selma Blair, Chloe Sevigny and Mary-Kate Olsen was the boys behind Proenza Schouler. Their autumn/winter 2010 collection certainly delivered on the dark and sexy side, featuring a graffiti prints inspired by artist Christopher Wool. They also collaborated with J Brand on a number of the denim piece such as jeans splattered with paint. Touches of fur were added to the trims of jackets, but for the most part Proenza Schouler stayed true to what they know - creating swing coats and bubble-hemmed skirts that their celeb-studded FROW-sitters will lap up.

New York Fashion Week A/W 2010: Marchesa

Marchesa - Presentation - Fall 2010 MBFW

Every season I find myself more and more impressed with the stunningly beautiful creations concocted by Georgia Chapman and Keren Craig at Marchesa. The ladies wowed with another fairytale-inspired collection inserted with bursts of bright colour such as fuchsia and teal. Gowns were interwoven with sleek black tuxedos, but there was no doubting the stars of the show were the dreamy dresses in sweeping layers of satin, tulle, chiffon and organza. Celebrity guests included Melissa George and Kelly Rowland, but I'm guessing the red carpet list for this collection will extend to most of the Hollywood crowd.

FROW Watch: Kelly Osbourne's wild style at New York Fashion Week

Jeremy Scott - Front Row - Fall 2010 MBFW

It wasn't one of New York's eccentric crew who has been turning heads this past week, but one of London's own. Kelly Osbourne has been showing off her newly-toned figure in a series of wild outfits such as the one pictured above, which seems to have been inspired by a certain prehistoric cartoon family. The reality TV star wore the Fred Flinstone-esque dress and matching black bow as she sat on the FROW (front row) at the Jeremy Scott show. But the wackiness didn't end there...

New York Fashion Week A/W 2010: Rodarte

Rodarte - Runway - Fall 2010 MBFW

One of New York Fashion Week's most anticipated shows hit the catwalk on Tuesday. Rodarte's Kate and Laura Mulleavy unveiled a nomadic escapade which had so much going on you didn't know where to look. With a touch of Mexican thrown in for good measure, the sisters showcased goat hair coats, loose knit dresses, embroidered accessories and swathes of sheer floral fabric layered with check flannel and thick woollen scarves. Models appeared to move like pieces of patchwork, walking in Nicholas Kirkwood's bandage wrapped heels. See more after the jump...

New York Fashion Week A/W 2010: Sarah Jessica Parker supports Marios Schwab's debut line for Halston

sjp_halston_nyfw_fall210.jpgAs Halston's newly-appointed chief creative officer Sarah Jessica Parker was front and center at the label's autumn/winter 2010 show this week.

In his debut for Halston, Marios Schwab reinvented signature pieces into structured vibrant items that reflected his penchant for body-con styling.

Using a palette based on the 1978 film, The Eyes of Laura Mars, Schwab presented draped jersey dresses, fur-sleeved pantsuits, and panel-cut evening gowns in rich taupe, blue, violet and bright red.

"I used the archive from memory, and I wanted to take elements that I love about Halston and transform them," he said.
