Well look at that, we still had one video from New York Fashion Week up our sleeve. Sorry for the delay in sharing this beautiful Monique Lhuillier Fall 2010 runway show. The model's last pass showcases what Lhuillier does best - beautiful eveningwear, this season slit up to there with bold black lace hosiery. Dresses and gowns were heavily detailed and embellished and we'd love to see a few on the Oscars red carpet next week.
Layering has worked wonders on Angela Missoni's runway for the past couple of seasons. Her A/W 2010-11 collection was no exception, only this time we were taken on a tribal journey with influences from Africa all the way to Scotland. Blanket-type knits were draped and pinned to give the impression of capes, kilts and ponchos. Other elements included tweed, fur-trimmed garments, cropped cardigans all created from colourful looms and patterns. Daughter Margherita Missoni also left her mark by unveiling her first accessories collection, including chrome metal bracelets and neck pieces, which fit perfectly with the tribal-inspired collection.
Sex kitten was the theme of Versace's latest autumn/winter 2010-11 with an array of super-slick, metallic sci-fi pieces. Strong tailoring appeared in suede coats, biker jackets and asymmetric cut dresses and patchwork trousers. Bold colours in bright blue, orange, yellow, and aqua. Named Uptown Girl, Giorgio Armani presented an 80s-inspired A/W 2010 collection for Emporio Armani. Furs lined almost every piece of clothing from skirts to trousers to jackets. Using a palette of mostly muted colours such as charcoal, nude and soft marl, Armani sent out pleated skirts, funnel necklines, pinstripes, and jackets that nipped in at the waist. Victoria's Secret Angels stormed the runway at yesterday's Prada show in Milan. Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Bianca Balti were surprise additions to the show, which presented a Mad Men-inspired collection that seemed focused on the boob-age area.
That's right, Miuccia Prada is all about the breasts for autumn/winter 2010-11, much to the delight of many menfolk I'm sure. According to Miuccia, sexiness is in the covering up, and not baring all.
Her collection consisted of '50s style long-sleeved wool dresses featuring bell skirts, high necks and A-line hems. These were matched with lady-like cropped jackets, cable knits, patterned tights, and library-chic glasses. Click through to watch two videos of the show...
Snow bunnies this one is for you! The boys at D&G have created an Alpine treat for their autumn/winter 2010 collection, sending down the runway a knitwear fest full of one piece jumpsuits, cable sweaters, and reindeer jumpers that Bridget Jones herself wouldn't turn down if given half a chance. Oversized furry boots and ski goggles included, there were also flashes of silk in baggy bloomers, and floral prints in long skirts. Adding a feminine touch were chiffon blouses with pussy bow neck ties. Very cute!

Taking their cues from modern architecture, Peter Pilotto and his partner Christopher De Vos, presented a collection of their signature prints and geometric shapes. Blurry graphic prints were constructed around the body with panels of metallic material, coloured leather and fur. Tailoring was strong in cropped tweed jackets and high waist trousers which were finished off with a fox stole. Watch a video of the collection above.
