tony-picckles-2Cuckooclub-londonfashionweek.jpg

Get Waisted produce beautiful evening and party dresses, corsets, ball gowns and bridal wear.

Toni Pickles is the founder and designer at Get Waisted. She originally trained on Savile Row and her signature item was the bespoke corset before branching out into a full range.

This professional tailoring background can be seen in all Toni's creations. Get Waisted designs frequently take their inspiration from an age of elegance - reflecting 1950's tailoring and silhouettes. Toni believes in creating designs that complement and enhance the feminine form. She likes to use sumptuous, flowing fabrics combined with a sophisticated approach to draping. The end result is a clothing range that simultaneously makes an impact and leaves the wearer feeling really special.

Toni says: " I was excited to have the opportunity to showcase some of my latest collection at the closing party for London Fashion Week held at The Cuckoo Club. It is always fantastic to be able to get the models 'down and dirty' with the public in a live environment".

Nicole Richie launches Winter Kate at Selfridges

Nicole Richie Launches Winter Kate Clothes Range - Photocall

With all the fashion week chaos we almost missed Nicole Richie jet-setting into London last Friday to launch her new line, Winter Kate, at Selfridges. The reality TV star-turned-designer was greeted by fans who had queued up to get an autograph and an up close view of her new engagement ring.

Winter Kate is the latest addition to Richie's fashion CV, and follows the same indie hippy-chic style that she has already incorporated into her footwear and accessory lines under her House of Harlow 1960 label. For her London outing, she wore black tights, a long-sleeved paisley baby-doll top and a black fedora-style hat.

Anna Wintour wants to take Christopher Kane under her wing

versus_aw2010_milanfashionweek.jpg

It isn't the first time that Anna Wintour has taken a vested interest in Christopher Kane. However, after the presentation of his latest Versus collection, pictured above, (the diffusion line he works on with Donatella Versace) in Milan, Wintour is reportedly very eager to make Kane a household name. After all, it was her who first introduced the young Scottish designer to Donatella in the hopes of reviving the Versus brand, which was first began by Gianni Versace in 1989. While there is no word on what she has in store for Kane, I'm sure whatever it is it'll be big.
