Whistles have just announced that they are teaming up with Croatian-born designer Roksanda Illincic for a range of seven cocktail dresses. Roksanda Illincic's AW09 collection is beginning to filter into stores now, her Dynasty-style purple cocktail number (£2205, NaP) will hopefully be an indication of the kind of thing we can expect at Whistles. The designer recently collaborated with Damaris on an a collection of highly covetable underwear.
"I have long been a huge fan of Roksanda, and to have her design such an exquisite collection of dresses for Whistles has been a unique opportunity," Whistles ceo Jane Shepherdson told Grazia. "We have worked closely at every stage of the design process with Roksanda to capture her unique sense of play and contrast in colour, fabric and texture. It would be hard not to fall in love with the resulting collection."
At the last press day it was evident Whistles had upped their game for AW 09, their collection was a lot more directional while staying true to their customers. This collaboration sees them heading even more towards high-fashion, we can't wait to see this instore!
Actress Lake Bell blew the competition away at the Whitney Contemporaries Art Party in New York last night. Who knew Max Azria could be so fierce?!
The coral-red dress comes alive with the harness-like embroidery and really brings back our Star Trek fan years. Built-up shoulders add a trend touch but the drapey fabric keeps it looking subtle. Most of the Whitney guests opted for a variation on the perfectly respectable Hervé Leger bandage dress but a frock like Bell's clearly blows them out of the water.

Greek-born designer Erotokritos Antoniadis was bang on the space-influenced trend before it started appearing all over the catwalks, and now you can snap up one of his stellar creations for a bargain price at Cocosa. We've also got our beady eyes on up-and-coming sales from Josh Goot and Hannah Marshall, which should both be first-rate.
The drapey dresses are ideal for making a statement at a summer wedding this year and starting at £99 the prices aren't much more than what you would pay for a high street frock. Our pick, above will definitely get you noticed, the purple bustier style is great for enhancing curves and the appliqué dress is both quirky and stylish. The dress on the right marries luxe silver with grey marl jersey and would take you seamlessly from day to night. Jump through for full product details, hurry though because the sale runs out in less than 48hrs!

After trickling away the last pennies of student loan or this month's wages, you may be faced with an empty summer wardrobe and little desire to wander round stuffy shops. Well a new site keeps popping up in the weekly fashion mags and it's well worth a look!
NV has just launched a shipping service to the whole of the UK and there's definitely some bargains to grab. Large prints are great for curves! NV can keep you feeling cool but looking hot in the coming summer months. Check it out before everyone else does!

Penelope Cruz looked in glowing good health at the Cannes photocall for Los abrazos rotos yesterday. Despite reports of her coming down with food poisoning she posed in a gorgeous nude dress as director and mentor Pedro Almaldovar looked on.
Fans of Penelope's soft-focus look are in luck as the high street is bursting with flesh-toned frocks. Miss Selfridge has a strapless jersey dress (£22) which has the requisite folds of fabric, for a total Penelope-inspired look make up an under the bust band with some soft pink elastic from a haberdashers. Whistles' tie-front bandeau dress is the more luxe option at £135 but the colour is a great match and the fabric is 100% silk.

Harnesses, shrugs and capelets are hot ways to accessorise sans jewellery, and we're loving the new crop of dresses and tops that incorporate all the embellishment you need for a fab outfit. Oversized jewels are a bit ubiquitous, but we're ever more ingenious ways of adding interest to clothes.
Tutu Bleu's dress combines a simple shape with a complex arrangement of ropes. It has overtones of S&M, but the overall look (especially from the back) is nautical with a twist. It's a great way to look shipshape without donning obvious tiems like a stripe top or espadrilles. It will set you back $369 from Pixie Market, we just hope our hearts can stop beating before we reach for the credit card!
