How clever is this? Stella McCartney has combined some of her favourite things, including an old picture of her pet dalmatian, for her new spring/summer 2010 campaign. Using a black-and-white photograph of her dog Lucky taken by Linda McCartney in 1976, the ads also feature Natalia Vodianova.
Stella describes the concept as "fashion meets reportage, mixing color, and black-and-white. A family animal with an outside atmosphere meets studio lights, camera, action!"

This Valentine's Day treat yourself to your own bit of fashion love thanks to Lulu Guinness. The designer will open her first-ever pop-up shop, Kiss by Lulu Guinness, to coincide with Valentine's Day and London Fashion Week. There will be an array of lip-shaped goodies available to purchase including brightly-coloured Perspex clutches, £40 each.
The Kiss by Lulu Guinness pop-up shop will be located at 65-67 Broadwick Street, London (off Carnaby Street) from February 8th - February 22nd, 2010.
Fashion fans rejoice! One diffusion line that is definitely happening is that of Alice Temperley of Temperley London. Her lower-priced secondary line Alice by Alice of Temperley is just a few weeks away from hitting stores - yay! Inspired by the girl about town, Alice's designs are aimed squarely at the cool kids. They are also at very affordable prices (from £58 for a T-shirt upwards).
"Lots of friends can't afford the mainline prices but would still love to wear Temperley. So we wanted to offer a different price point," she said. To browse the lookbook, visit Fabsugar UK.
There will be many disappointed folks out there today (myself included) when they hear the news that Balmain won't be launching a diffusion line.
Reports that the label was testing a lower-priced line began to swirl on the internet last week. However, a Balmain spokesperson has now confirmed our worst fears.
"There is no Balmain lower priced line," they told Vogue.com. "What I think you might be referring to is a capsule collection that was prepared for some Parisian retailers. Christophe Decarnin wasn't involved in that project. The brand has decided to not repeat the experience, preferring to concentrate all its efforts on the mainline."
Boo!

Louis Vuitton is no stranger to capturing the non-model types for its ongoing "core values" campaign, however this time the roles are reversed. The photographer, Annie Leibovitz, has become the subject in the brand's latest ads. Fashion names are really stepping up to the royal plate lately. Just recently Stephen Jones and Luella Bartley were named in the Queen's 2010 New Years Honour List, and now Marc Jacobs will be knighted by the French.
The designer, along with Nathalie Rykiel, will be decorated as Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) in a ceremony to be led by Culture Minister Frédéric Mitterrand today. The event is to coincide with men's fashion week in Paris.
Nathalie is president and creative director of Sonia Rykiel, the label which was began by her mother. As we all know, Marc is the creative director of French luxury label, Louis Vuitton.
