Arriving straight from Glastonbury Monday morning was Pixie Geldof, to shoot the Resort 2010 lookbook for Giles Deacon. Complete with her red wig (again, what's with all the wigs?!) the model donned 30 pieces including a range of sheath dresses, draped silky tailoring and a new high-wasted cuff trouser. Is it possible to want just about every piece from a collection? Then if so, I'm in trouble thanks to Matthew Williamson's Resort 2010 collection. The designer has outdone himself with a beautiful array of colourful tie-dye, and African-inspired prints. In addition to lots of floaty short-hemmed frocks, there are also some sparkly boleros, biker jackets and bow-tied slouchy harem trousers. I'm especially loving that grey jumpsuit (above, right) and the shoes! So many wearable pieces, how am I going to restrain myself?

It's Resort/Cruise 2010 time and some of our favourite designers have been unveiling their new collections to feed our fashion-hungry appetites. The Brits have certainly been living up to their international reputation by offering some of the most-talked about Resort collections so far. Preen have updated some of their best-selling styles, including the Power dress for their Cruise collection. They also added lots of shimmery fabrics, lace underlays, and safari separates.

A new destination, and a whole new era was on the cards for the Chanel Cruise 2010 presentation yesterday. Set in the charming surroundings of Lido Resort, Venice, the show used a boardwalk as its runway and deckchairs for its seating arrangement. The collection itself was drenched in summer days during the 1930s, dotted with sailor dresses, wide brimmed hats, striped knitted shorts and short curly bobs. Karl Lagerfeld was directly inspired by Venetian high-society, namely Marchesa Casati and Peggy Guggenheim, an American art collector whose palazzo is home to Italy's most important collection of twentieth-century art.
Today we headed out of Shiny Towers and into the sunshine to take a look at Net-a-Porter's Cruise 2009 collections (which won't hit the virtual racks for months, sadly). Designer press days are my idea of heaven - the only time I get to manhandle 3.1 Phillip Lim, Marc Jacobs and Jonathan Saunders without shop assistants hovering over me like I'm going to steal something.
The 'hero' pieces of the collection are from Preen by Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi, who are new to Net-a-Porter and known for their structured body-con shapes and very modern sensibilities (Time for a bit of CQ trivia - Isabelle met the design duo at a party once and bonded with Justin over their shared love of charity shops). The dress to your left may be familiar, as Agyness Deyn and Amy Winehouse wore the yellow version, and Gwyneth the black. Now it can be yours in fuchsia...
If you happened to miss yesterday's live presentation of Gucci's Resort '09 collection, then fear not. The Sugar peeps have captured the footage from the show, including backstage shots of models Sasha Pivovarova and Iekeliene Stange preparing to hit the catwalk. The show was staged in Frida Giannini's native Rome instead of New York, to celebrated the label's 70th anniversary of the opening of its flagship Via Condotti store. Click play to watch video.
Sometimes the photographs simply don't do a collection justice, and so here is some footage from inside Stella McCartney's Resort Spring '09 garden party. Recently held at Jefferson Market Garden in New York, the Brit designer opens up on why she chose a picnic-theme in the Big Apple as her venue of choice, and which are her favourite pieces.
