On such a rainy day in Hollywood, perhaps silk wasn't the best choice for a stroll along the red carpet. Nevertheless, Cameron Diaz went against the pink and purple grain which many of the stars wore in this bright red number by Alexander McQueen. Truth be told, it wasn't one of my favourites but it was great to see a flash of bold colour in what was a mostly sea of flesh-tone coloured gowns. What are your thoughts on Cam's outfit?

Ruffles were certainly a popular sight at the Golden Globes. Mad Men's resident Marilyn Monroe, Christina Hendricks showed off her amazing curves in a apricot-champagne coloured strapless gown by Christian Siriano. Her drop leaf earrings and bracelet are by Loree Rodkin. She and the rest of the cast spent the evening celebrating Mad Men's win for Best Television Series, Drama.

Slipping in via the less soggy side door was Kate Winslet, who presented the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama to Jeff Bridges. The British actress was all class, if not a little safe, in a black/blue one-shouldered gown with silver sequin detail by Yves Saint Laurent. Her jewels included sapphire and diamond earrings and bracelets from Tiffany & Co. What do you make of Kate's ensemble?

Pink ladies were all the rage at last night's Globes. Our own Emily Blunt sashayed past paparazzi on the arm of her fiancé The Office's John Krasinski. She wore a romantic ruffled (there were lots of ruffles around) soft pink tulle Dolce & Gabbana dress, Jimmy Choo "Quinze" booties and a pewter Ferragamo clutch.

You couldn't ask for a more handsome date than Tom Ford. The designer-turned-director accompanied his leading lady Julianne Moore on the red carpet. Moore along with Colin Firth were both nominated for their roles in Ford's debut film, A Single Man. Sadly neither went home with a Globe, but Julianne did leave many split about her decision to don this off-the-shoulder Balenciaga frock. The grey pre-fall gown wasn't a stand-out but score her points for demure sophistication. What do you think?

At CQ we were delighted to see Drew Barrymore step up to the podium to receive the Golden Globe for her performance in Grey Gardens. In total the HBO series picked up two gongs on the night, one for Best Actress and another for Best Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television.

Not even the rain could dampen the spirits of the stars who trod the red carpet overnight. Working a brolly into her outfit was Golden Globe nominee Penelope Cruz. The Nine starlet may have left without a Globe, but she oozed old Hollywood glamour in a black fishtail vintage Armani Prive gown with lace neckline detail. I'm also crushing on her loose Veronica Lake waves and simple jewellery.
