Victoria Beckham's A/W 2009-10 collection now in-store!

victoriabeckham_aw2009-10_hitsstores.jpg

Her last collection flew off the shelf and sold out within hours of hitting Net-a-Porter. So will the same happen with Victoria Beckham's new autumn/winter 2009-10 collection which went on sale this week? The range includes 23 dresses, featuring structured tailoring, cape-style coats and full-length fishtail gowns. With fans such as Heidi Klum backing her, I'd say it's a fair bet that these pieces won't last long. Victoria's latest collection is priced between £900 and £5,000, and is now available from Harrods, Selfridges and Net-a-Porter.

The girl in leopard print: Paloma Faith

When we spotted this retro queen at the launch of Hoxton venue The Bathouse and we were immediately all a-google!

It turns out that Paloma Faith as she is named, is a singer with an eye for exciting clothes, we love her leopard print body, and check out the be-bowed gloves and diamanté 'P' brooch. If you like your vocalists girly and retro-tinged then you will love her soulful pop ballads. Unsurprisingly she has drawn comparisons with Amy Winehouse, but it's her penchant for fanciful clothes and catchy tunes that set her apart. Take a look at her video after the jump

Red carpet alert: Kate Winslet styles it up in Stella McCartney, "Away We Go" New York premiere

katewinslet_awaywegopremiere_stellamccartney.jpg

Representing some of her home-grown fashion talent was Kate Winslet this week. The luminous actress donned a LBD by Stella McCartney that featured a ruffled neckline and barely-there lace sleeves. Sleek and stylish as always, Kate was in New York to support her husband, Sam Mendes and his latest film Away We Go. Kate finished off her look with a pair of black and white peep-toe Christian Louboutin platforms. What do you make of her look - is it darling or drab? Tell us by leaving your comments below.

The models have landed at Cannes, with Eva Herzigova and Doutzen Kroes making the red carpet rounds yesterday for the première of the football film, Looking For Eric. Adding a touch of sparkle to the occasion was Eva, dressed in a stunning mother-of-pearl gown by from Atelier Versace's spring '09 collection. Funnily enough, Donatella Versace wore the same dress just nine days ago to a White House event. In the meantime, Doutzen gave Azzedine Alaia a much needed boost by wearing one of his grey belted dresses with a pair of Alaia lace-up shoe boots.

2009 Cannes Film Festival: Red carpet weekend round-up

As the 2009 Cannes Film Festival marched on over the weekend, more big stars emerged on the red carpet to support their films. Some of the stars to step out included Rachel Weisz, Eva Longoria, Abbie Cornish and Mariah Carey, who has made several glamorous appearances for her new film, Precious. My favourite so far has to be Rachel who wowed the crowd in a strapless bottle green ombre thigh-splitting Valentino gown. To catch up on all the looks from the weekend click the photo below.

Flying Saucer thinks the Saturdays can save your weekend

saturdays rare collection flying saucer high street.jpg

Just in time for the weekend Flying Saucer brings you her dispatches from the high street:

Across the UK there's a trend brewing in night clubs: girls in identcal LBDs, each with brightly coloured tights in different colours. It's a tribute to The Saturdays, the girl band who have already gained Frock Horror status for their rainbow outfits! But you might want to check out the first pictures of their collection for Rare, a label stocked by Topshop.

Some of the shiny numbers might not excite everyone, but these dresses may be the answer to the new conundrum of getting your weekend outfit from the high street without suddenly finding yourself drink in hand, dancing into five other identical outfits. There's only so much Topshop and River Island a club can take!

Cannes sartorial surprise: Bae Doona

bae doo na air doll cannes dress.jpg

Here to promote 'Air Doll' Korean actress Bae Doona has been making waves at Cannes, we love her outfits. Obviously it helps being an ex-model, but her choice of dresses is pretty fashion savvy.

She sidesteps the problems normally associated with wearing a red dress on the red carpet by choosing a Christian Dior dress packed with textural pleats and folds. Nude is a big trend this season, and Bae's milky white skin complements the floaty frock perfectly. We're also quite enamoured with her bowl cut, très chic!
