It was another coup for couturier Stéphane Rolland overnight. The designer scored big-time when Beyonce chose one of his latte-coloured zig-zag patterned gowns from his autumn/winter '09 collection. The dress stuck to the bootylicious diva in all the right places, and left very little to the imagination up top.
It has been a big year for both of these ladies, with young starlets Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus going head-to-head on the red carpet last night. In two very different looks, Taylor had heads turning when she stepped out in a floor-length off-the-shoulder sparkly gown. However, it seems folks were divided in their opinion of her gown with some Twitterers wondering whether the country star had been raiding the Avatar wardrobe department.

Two of music's biggest divas both fronted up to the Grammy's last night in similar pale shades of dress. They were also both showing a little bit of leg, with splits in their frocks - a popular trend this awards season. Rihanna looked like she came straight off the runway in a cream Elie Saab autumn/winter 2009 Couture gown. The high neckline and ruffled bodice was a risk for the young star and yet somehow seemed to work.

With five Grammy Award nominations under her belt, Lady Gaga's presence on the red carpet it was always going to be huge... and huge it was, literally! This time Giorgio Armani stepped in to design five different Armani Privé ensembles designed especially for Gaga and the Grammy's. For her grand entrance, the starlet arrived in a lavender and silver orbit-style corseted gown and towering heels both of which were sprinkled in Swarovski crystals.
Speaking of her outfit, she said: "I am honored to be wearing Armani this evening. The series of pieces Mr. Armani created for me are truly iconic; they represent not only beautiful fashion, but my spirit and essence as an artist."

We'll have loads of pictures from the Grammy awards soon, once we've calmed down after the BAFTAs. But in the meantime, we've been discussing Miley Cyrus's Roberto Cavalli bustle-backed mini dress, worn to the Clive Davis and The Recording Academy present the Annual Pre-Grammy Gala. It's quite a mature, tricky dress for someone so young, but kudos to her for giving it a go and not rocking up in a pastel-coloured slip or something.
Miley spent most of the night's photocall snuggling up to a Gucci-clad Rihanna, who controversially canceled her Grammy appearance at the last minute. It seems things didn't go well for Ri when she left the gala. Her boyfriend, Chris Brown, also canceled his Grammy appearance after being arrested on domestic violence charges. Sources are saying the unnamed female victim is Rihanna, which would definitely explain the no-show. If it's true, all we can say is how could he?!
