Win Kate Moss for Topshop's Limited Edition Red Dress!

katemossreddress.jpg
You didn't think we were that greedy that we could actually keep all of the things that we bought yesterday at the Kate Moss for Topshop launch? I wish! Nope, unfortunately being the generous people that we are we have decided to give away that stunning limited edition red dress identical to the one that Kate Moss wore in the window of Topshop in Oxford street, London. It was the twelfth dress out of a limited supply of 100 so it's definitely a collector's piece. It is a size 10.

Kate Moss for Topshop - the online shopping experience

white-dress.jpg 60D04QINK.jpg
It's 5.15 in the morning, I start work in about 4 hours and I'm up e-shopping, what's wrong with this picture? Nothing if you take into consideration that I'm shopping at Kate Moss for Topshop online. Unlike my die hard fellow Catwalk Queen ladies I just couldn't do the whole queuing thing, I learnt my lesson at the Primark opening and I've instead decided to shop from the comfort of my bedroom. No queues, no achy feet, no fuss. Perfect you'd think except for two things - first, the traffic from around the world is... making... it... run.... so... slow and secondly, the fact that about 10% of the collection isn't available online. That percentage includes some of the key items of the collection such as this white spotted prom dress or this chiffon pleated dress which the girls also got earlier in yellow. There are items to be found online but it seems ladies that if we really want the good stuff, we have to join the queue... bummer!

Kate Moss for Topshop - don't believe there was a queue? Pics to prove it!

Are you willing to camp out for Kate Moss?

campingkate.jpgIt may seem like a ridiculous notion but after witnessing the bloodbath (okay, perhaps a slight exaggeration) that was the Primark Oxford Street store opening I'm sure nothing will surprise me at next week's Kate Moss for Topshop launch. We'll be there of course with our war-paint on (kidding!) as we join the masses on what is set to be the biggest event on the London fashion calender, heck the world's fashion calendar! And so we want to know... will you be camping out for Kate? Are you and your besties planning to arrive at stupid o'clock or pull an all-nighter? We want to know who would like to be a roving reporter for Catwalk Queen and share their experiences of the day with the best blog on the planet - that would be us!

So.. if you're looking for your five minutes of Kate Moss fame then simply email kim@shinymedia.com and tell us your plan of attack.

Here at Shiny Media we are delighted to announce that in association with River Island we have launched Graduate Fashion Week Live - the official blog for this year's GFW. The event is being held at Battersea Park from June 3rd - June 7th and the best bit is that it's completely open to the public! That's right, anyone can attend without having to resort to the line "but don't you know who I am?"

Win stuff at Jane Austen week on Trashionista

becomingjane.jpgBack when most authors were filling their pages with gothic melodrama, Jane Austen (as portrayed by Anne Hathaway in the recent film 'Becoming Jane') could fill two pages with a conversation about current fashions concerning muslin. She was a woman who knew about fashion, as well as everything else worth talking about in polite society. And let's face it, who doesn't love swooning over the various beautiful men chosen to bring characters like Mr Darcy, Mr Willougby and Captain Wentworth to life?

This week on our sister site Trashionista they're celebrating the author with Austen Week, and there's an amazing Austen-related prize package up for grabs, including books and DVDs of the recent ITV Austen adaptations. If only I could enter myself, I quite fancy swooning over Mr Tilney in Northanger Abbey...

Candace Bushnell's 'Lipstick Jungle' to Become TV Show

lip1.jpg Do any of you find yourself still mourning the end of Sex and The City? Do you continue to watch old episodes of SATC on Paramount with a hanky clenched in your fist? Do you still play the 'how much do you know about the show' trivia game on HBO? Or is it just me? Ah well, just in case there are some equally obsessive kindred spirits out there then you'll be excited to know that Candace Bushnell's fourth novel Lipstick Jungle is being filmed for television this year.
