Are you a savvy catwalk reporter, a dab hand at photoshop and willing to give up a week to scour the wires for the hottest fashion week photos and news? If so, we want you! We're looking for a couple of willing interns to join us at Shiny Towers during London Fashion Week to help make sure the coverage on the site is as fantastic as it possibly could be.
Ideally you'll be a fashion or journalism student with a bit of time to spare. We'll need you to be able to work in our London office from Friday 14th - Friday 21st September. These are unpaid intern positions, but LFW is a great time to be part of the team, and there might be a show ticket or two in it for you!
If you're interested, drop me a line at gemma@shinymedia.com with your CV and a catwalk report of your favourite New York Fashion Week show so far. So I can see your photoshop skills, please also include accompanying photos formatted to fit the CQ layout (collaged together in groups of three, each image no more than 430px across). Since we're not republishing them, you can take them from Style.com just this once!

We promised you big news from Shiny Media to coincide with New York Fashion Week, and here it is! Today marks the official launch of two new blogs from Shiny US, our new US blog network. Shiny Style (fashion) and Shiny Gloss (beauty) are edited out of New York and Philadelphia with writers stationed across the USA.
We can't wait to get working with our sisters over at Shiny US, and we'll begin with the exclusive coverage of New York Fashion Week. We'll be sharing resources with our new best mates across the pond to bring you the best catwalk chat we possibly can. Once fashion week is over, we hope our US visitors will continue to check out Shiny Style and Shiny Gloss as well as CQ and Kiss and Makeup. We'll continue to bring you fashion news and advice with a global spin at Catwalk Queen though, so don't leave us completely!

Bored at work? Need something to do in your lunch break? Feel like scoring a free Apple iPod Nano? Then why not take this very non-complicated Shiny Media survey and let us know what you think about music downloading.
In return for your thoughts on this important issue, we've got five iPod Nanos to give away! It only takes five minutes, so go on... give it a go!

Tuesdays post on Naomi Campbell's feelings about black models in the fashion industry really struck a chord with me. As a black woman working in the fashion industry, I'm painfully aware of how underrepresented we are. Though I count models such as Coco Rocha and Erin O'Connor amongst some of my favourites, Liya Kebede, Sunna Gottshalk and Selita Ebanks are just a few equally beautiful black models who, with the exception of Liya, are barely known. So it's nothing but good news to hear that the pretty Chanel Iman, credited by Vogue as being one of the worlds next top models, is due to be shot for a lucrative Gap ad campaign. Premiering in winter, the ads will be the most mainstream work she's done to date and as such could lead to her becoming a well known name in modeling for the future. Is Iman set to becoming the next Naomi Campbell? I hope not. Instead let's hope her individual beauty shows all major magazines or fashion houses out there that there's enough room in the industry for more than one top black model. [Source: Fashionista/Getty]
The lovely Letitia of The L Report has been interviewing big names in fashion blogging for her 'Bloscars 2007' feature, and I was honoured to be asked to take part. She's come up with a fantastic set of questions that reveal exactly why so many of us devote our lives to the world of style. I've been really interested to read the responses from bloggers like Shallom from Style Finds, Susie Bubble and Michele from My Fashion Life. My own answers can be found here if you've ever wanted to know more about Catwalk Queen!
As you'll have noticed if you're a return visitor, we've had a bit of a redesign today! I hope you like the neater, newer Catwalk Queen as much as we do. I'll have to ask you to hang in there while we fix any bugs or errors that might have slipped through the net and fix those final few links. As you can imagine with a site with archives as old as Catwalk Queen's, perfecting a new design takes a while!
Everything you're used to seeing on the site should still be here - search the site by category using the drop-down menus to your left, use the tabs and search along the top to find stuff quickly, and don't forget to visit other sites on our network using the Shiny Media navbar at the top or the news feeds at the bottom of the page. And look out for our live shopping excursions taking place very, very soon!

"What brave souls..." was the first thought that popped into my head when I saw this picture of scantily clad shoppers at the opening of JOY's new store in Bristol. No they're not a part of some weird underwear cult, they're actually lining up in their pants to score a free outfit from JOY and now you can too!
