British designers seem to be having a real moment right now on the international scene. CQ favourite Matthew Williamson has been recruited by Bulgari not to design jewellery but a new range of handbags.
The luxury jeweller has enlisted Matthew Williamson to create a capsule collection for spring/summer 2011, which will then be unveiled at Milan Fashion Week in September.
"[We chose Williamson] for the great sense of color and design he brings to his work," said the label's CEO, Francesco Trapani.
Meanwhile, it didn't take long for the Aquascutum boys (pictured) to find a new job. According to Vogue, they have been snapped by Swiss label Bally. Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler look set to replace Brian Atwood, who stepped down as creative director last week. Word is, Bally is looking to expand from accessories into ready-to-wear.
The rumours were right! Daisy Lowe is the new face of Louis Vuitton's spring/summer 2010 campaign, designed by Takashi Murakami. Named 'Cosmic Blossom' the iconic Monogram print has been updated in a colourful smiley flower face motif. The collection is available in three shades of leather goods, ready-to-wear and accessories. While the motifs also appear in T-shirts and scarves, bandanas, swimwear and shoes. What do you think of Daisy's ads for LV?

Continuing the promotion of her brand new collection of handbags for Longchamp was Kate Moss yesterday. The supermodel made a rare appearance at Selfridges, which was her first public outing since the news of Alexander McQueen's passing.
The event was toned-down from the original party which was planned for last night as a mark of respect. She arrived at the launch wearing a black furry coat, skinny jeans and toting a couple of her bags - a red leather and zebra-print designs. Later she hit the catwalk at Naomi Campbell's Fashion for Relief London show... more on that coming up!

All eyes (and flashbulbs) were on Kate Moss yesterday as she arrived in Paris for the launch of her new collection of handbags for Longchamp. The supermodel was joined by her is-he-or-isn't-he-fiancé Jamie Hince, as she first stopped by the British Ambassador's Residence to check out her pal Stella McCartney's pre-fall 2010 collection. Last night she officially launched her Longchamp line (above, left) at a glamorous party at The Ritz. Kate, who has worked with the label for years, created three themes for her bags Rock'n'Casual, Rock'n'Travel and Rock'n'Glam.

After four years as the face of Longchamp, it seems the next natural step for Kate Moss was to design for the brand. And that is exactly what has happened! The supermodel has showed off her latest handbag collection exclusively for Vogue Paris. The Kate Moss for Longchamp line is set to be unveiled on January 27th Jan. during Paris Couture Week, and will hit stores February 11th.
"The emerald green pochette, whose color I love, I wanted to be very simple, based on the shape of an envelope. I would wear it with all black or all navy. Because I love to wear dove grey, I wanted a bag in that color to go with my grey jeans. he zebra was inspired by an old pony printed valise from the '70s that my boyfriend [Jamie Hince] brought back from San Francisco," she said.
