Topshop Unique know how to turn things on when it comes to their catwalk show at London Fashion Week and this afternoon saw them do just that, yet again. After several season's now of successful collections, the question was could they do it again for Spring / Summer 2014?

According to the press release there's a Heat Rave happening over at Unique this season; they young designer brand describe the feel for SS14 involving "wild heady days & endless freedom of summer see the days and nights all roll into one... From Sunrise to Sunset... On a beach, or on a roof top... Souvenirs from every holiday... " - it sounds pretty appealing to me.

Held in London's Regents Park, the catwalk was literally a grassy verse, so the festival feel was evident straight away. The collection for me had a nostalgic feel with a hippie girl edge. Whilst colours were vibrant in the form of blue, green and burnt yellow sources of inspiration were evident; think blue from the sky and sea, orange/yellows from the burning sun, marigold and dandelion tones, dazzling whites from the summer haze & a glint from the sea.

Prints followed suit here which appeared on long flowing summer dresses, cool and breezy crop tops and oversized shirt dresses in the form of cracked tile prints & scattered mirror embellishment, offering a more traditional crafts & global element to the mix. Textures could be seen across the collection with denim fabrications bringing frayed, fringed and contrast panelled qualities. When it came to shape, the sun dress was my favourite which continues to be tiny tiny spaghetti straps, flowing silhouettes and barely there backs.

In summary, a collection I loved and can't wait to wear. Was it premium enough to stand alone against Topshop's main range? Not sure yet. Check out the looks for yourself in the gallery and watch the show in the video above, then let us know what you think in the comments below.
