Not to be outdone by her brother, Monaco royal Charlotte Casiraghi to wed
This is going to be a big year for Monaco.
On the heels of the announcement that Andrea Casiraghi, Princess Grace of Monaco's son, is marrying Tatiana Santo Domingo later this month comes news that his sister Charlotte Casiraghi is also engaged. She is said to be having a child with and planning to marry French comedian Gad Elmaleh. Charlotte is arguably the most high profile of the Monegasque heirs as she is the face of Gucci and also an Olympic Equestrian, though her brother is higher in the succession to the throne.
Casiraghi, 27, and Morocco-born Elmaleh, 42, are rumored to be marrying this fall in a "private ceremony," same has her brother. This mostly indicates that only certain press will be invited. Will the same magazine (likely Vogue or Vanity Fair) get the exclusive on both weddings or will they spread the media love? She previously appeared on the cover of Vogue Paris, photographed by Mario Testino, in 2011. Friends Kate Moss and Karl Lagerfeld are likely to be guests, making the stakes even higher.
Their baby is said to be due sometime before Christmas. It is the second child for Elmaleh, who has a son Noé, 12, with French actress Anne Brochet. Casiraghi and Elmaleh began dating in 2011 after meeting at the home of a mutual friend.
