Agent Provocateur takes MIC star to court, Girls actor Adam Driver gets topless for Vogue & more fashion news
Sit back, relax and enjoy this week's hottest news round up...
Gisele Bundchen has announced she will be following in Beyoncés footsteps with a new campaign for Swedish brand H&M. The stunning Brazilian model took the modern day route and chose to debut the info (along with a ridiculously hot sneak peek selfie) via her personal Instagram last night, gaining 30,000 likes in less than 24 hours! Unfortunately it's not all good news for H&M - the high street retailer had to remove a feathered Native American inspired headdress from their festival range following a series of complaints. According to My Fashion Life, a spokesperson for the company said "we never want to offend anybody or come off as insensitive. We're always about being there for our customers." [My Fashion Life]
The cultural insensitivity doesn't end with H&M this week as sports giant Nike had to halt on a line of limited edition women's products inspired by Samoan tattooing. The 'Nike Pro Tattoo Tech' items (which included running tights, a bodysuit and sports bra) had been printed with a pattern influenced by tattoos traditionally reserved for Samoan men.
Shortly after previewing on Nike's blog, a petition appeared on Change.org to remove the products, with furious comments branding the move 'disrespectful', to which Nike accordingly responded, "The Nike tattoo tech collection was inspired by tattoo graphics. We apologize to anyone who views this design as insensitive to any specific culture. No offence was intended." Oops. [Oh No They Didn't]
Nike aren't the only ones making enemies - Made In Chelsea star Kimberley Garner is being taken to court by lingerie giant AGENT PROVOCATEUR over a copycat swimsuit design. Meow! [Vogue]
After all that law and order, let's take moment to appreciate a wet, topless Adam Driver...even if he is carrying a sheep. The Girls actor has been in high demand this month, starring in GAP's AW13 campaign 'Back To Blue', and appearing in an editorial piece shot by Annie Leibowitz and styled by Grace Coddington for Septembers issue of Vogue. We're not complaining! [Fashionista]
Miley Cyrus is still hell bent on proving she ain't no Disney girl no more in these cigarette smoking, crotch grabbing images courtesy of controversial celeb photographer Terry Richardson. WE GET IT MILEY. [Daily Mail]
