What with The Duchess of Cambridge giving birth to the new heir to the throne and all this week, it's safe to say the world's eyes are on the newly found mother, but it's not the first time. Ever since Kate and Wills announced their engagement where Kate wore that Issa dress, royal blue draped dresses have never looked the same. Good news for K-Middy fans; as part of their high street collaboration with American chain, Banana Republic which was announced back in April, Issa are releasing a replica version of the dress Kate wore.

"We knew our customers would be thrilled to experience royal fashion at the Banana Republic price point" said Banana Republic Creative Director, Simon Kneen. "every dress here could eaily be worn by the Duchess, who was kept in mind whilst this collection came together. I love her youthful femininity and find it very timeless in a modern way. We wanted to design a collection that was versatile but playful, with bold prints and feminine silhouettes".

The new dress features the same wrap waist and rouched detailing and comes in both royal blue and plum. The collection launches online and in stores from 8th August. Check out Kate's replica dress in the gallery above along with some other pieces from the collection.
