Hilary Alexander and Sarah Curran named in Queen's honours list
This weekend it was announced that several fashion names have made it into the Queen's Birthday Honours list and are set to receive praise from royalty. Following in the footsteps of Stella McCartney earlier this year, Hilary Alexander, who is best known for her work at the Telegraph, has been selected for the prestigious OBE for services to the fashion industry.
My-Wardrobe.com founder, Sarah Curran, has been selected for an MBE, also for services to the fashion industry. She told Vogue.com, "I am really proud to have been awarded an MBE. It was a real shock and quite surreal. This recognition has only been achieved with the help and support of the amazing my-wardrobe.com team, past and present."
Also named in the list is Dylan Jones, editor of GQ and chairman of London Collections: Men (which is happening this week) for services to the publishing and the British fashion industry, as well as Adele, for services the the music industry.
