On the radar: bright and bold MSGM jackets
Forget classics like leather or denim jackets. Put that plain black blazer into retirement. This Summer Massimo Giorgetti has upped the ante when it comes to outerwear with his label MSGM. The Summer collection is a riot of colour and texture, and it works best with the many jackets on offer, all of them mixing neon details with modern florals, classic tweeds and simple, Chanel-inspired shapes for a new take on a classic.
They may be investment pieces, but even the yellow neon jacket - which may remind you of a certain Zara bestseller from last year - has its own little touches, like the black and white inserts on the shoulders, that take it above and beyond what you'd find on the high street. The boxy raffia patchwork style is full of little details - tiny square prints on the yellow trim and a tapestry style feel to the panelled design.
Meanwhile, if you're off to a festival this year (or taking a trip somewhere in the UK) the floral nylon mac will ensure you stay looking fabulous even if it rains.
The collection is available at My Wardrobe, the jackets above start at £250.
