In what universe is it fair for one woman to look like this? Ours apparently.

Actress Lucy Liu can currently be found looking incredible over on Net-A-Porter as she graces the cover of the websites online magazine, The Edit. 44-year-old Lucy (SERIOUSLY, 44?!) strikes a number of elegant poses for the Graphic issue, showcasing sculpted dresses from a variety of designer SS13 collections such as Gucci, Lanvin and Herve Leger. With her hair pulled into sleek yet loose ponytails and with relatively fuss free makeup accentuating her dark eyes and freckled cheekbones, the 'Elementary' star proves she can pull of the impossible task; she doesn't look lost in the strong, difficult to wear pieces, nor does she detract attention from their own beauty.

During the editorial, the flawless Lucy comes across as warm yet reserved, attributing her ridiculously fresh face to "good Asian genes", and confessing that her fashion mantra is "If it's not comfortable, I don't want to wear it. I like pieces you can make downtown or uptown." I have to admit, aside from her opinion dividing Carolina Herrera dress at the Golden Globes earlier this year, I've never thought of Liu as someone to watch on the red carpet, but with Cannes just around the corner, I wonder if I'll find myself looking out for her?

As always, you can shop the shoot (if you have a few thousand pounds going spare - the one shoulder draped Lanvin dress will set you back a mere £3,040) or you could just sit back and sob into your cup of tea.
