As expected, it was another wet yet fashionable weekend at Cannes Festival, with some surprise show stopping gowns, delightfully elegant dresses and more excellent styling from Nicole Kidman!

L'Oreal girls Eva Longoria and Cheryl Cole both opted for Zuhair Murad dresses for their first red carpet appearances, and both looked equally gorgeous. Eva sparkled at the Le Passe premiere in an opulent beaded and embroidered gown with an open back and sweeping train, whilst our very own Cheryl wore a glam maroon number (also featuring long sleeves and beaded embellishment).

Dior darling Jennifer Lawrence kicked off Saturday morning with a photocall for the next instalment in The Hunger Games franchise, Catching Fire (eek!) wearing an all black Christian Dior outfit consisting of a wool bustier, a pair of not-so-flattering trousers that needed taking up by at least a few inches, and colour popping heels. For her red carpet appearance at the Grand Théâtre Lumière, the actress took an elegant monochrome approach that has proved popular amongst the A-Listers this year; Carey Mulligan also chose a minimal black and white Vionnet gown for the premiere of her latest movie, 'Inside Llewyn Davis', giggling and posing alongside co-star Justin Timberlake . Finishing off the weekend in my favourite of her Cannes looks so far, Jennifer wore a strapless white Dior dress featuring a Warhol print teamed with another colourful pair of pumps from Jimmy Choo.

Nicole Kidman continued to outshine everyone in a L'Wren Scott flattering leaf printed gown, over taking Diane Kruger as our Cannes girl crush of the year. The Australian actress radiated happiness as she walked the red carpet hand in hand with husband Keith Urban - regardless of your views on public displays of affection, there's no denying that Nicole has been on fashion form all week.
