Vivienne Westwood Anglomania floral dress

There are much bigger trends around this season, but you won't have to look very far to find evidence of Far Eastern influences in a lot of pieces. We're not talking Cheongsam dresses, mandarin collars and embroidered dragons, but subtler homages - oriental florals, red and black colourways, and origami style structured shapes.

Vivienne Westwood's 'Eight' dress from her Anglomania range (£580 at My Wardrobe) is the perfect example - there are eastern influences in the colour, the obi belt waistband, and the structured form, which actually wraps up and round in a figure of eight (hence the name) revealing two sides of the fabric and creating a big, heavy bubble hem.

The print, however, was inspired by Pierre Joseph Redoute's botanical illustrations, giving it a different feel entirely. This would be an amazing statement dress for a formal Summer event like a wedding or trip to the races if you can't bear to go down the matchy matchy Kate Middleton route.
