versaceversussilkshirtdress

Today's dress of the day is none other than this Versus by Versace printed silk shirt, which can be worn as both a shirt AND a dress (bonus!) After taking on the role of co-directing the brand alongside Donatella Versace, J.W. Anderson debuted his collection last Wednesday - complete with Versace signature lion head logo - making this little number our clear favourite. Team with a pair of chunky, black boots and messy locks for the ultimate rocker look, or keep things cool by tucking into a pencil skirt with shoe-boots; it really can be worked in so many ways.

Versus was born in 1989 as a Versace diffusion line attempting to give a youthful, more accessible take on the brand, introducing the safety pin emblem and being responsible for Elizabeth Hurley in that dress. The brand was closed in 2005, re-opening in 2009 and seeing Christopher Kane co-directing with Donatella, who later left in 2012 leaving the spot wide open for J.W.

Of course, the young, fresh and energetic brand needed a party with the same characteristics to go with it so it was only fair Versace not only put on a killer fashion show but three gigs to go with it. Performers included Grimes, Angel Haze and Dead Sara, all of whom were drenched in Versus. Check out footage of the party below or shop the rest of the collection here.
