Every year at the tail end of the Cannes Film Festival comes the amfAR Cinema Against Aids Benefit, held at the Hotel Du Cap in Cap d'Antibes. As one of the biggest events on the Cannes calendar, the gala always draws a huge mix of A listers, models and fashionistas who have spent a busy week attending photo calls, film premieres and yacht parties. It's a hard life, but someone has to do it...

Curated by Carine Roitfield, the evenings show 'The Ultimate Gold Collection' not only featured an exquisite one off Valentino dress, it also included a surprise guest on the catwalk. Following the likes of Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Karlie Kloss and Alessandra Ambrosio, was Vogue's editor-at-large Anna Dello Russo, who strutted her stuff in an extreme pair of gold Tom Ford boots!

Off the catwalk Roberto Cavalli well and truly cemented his popularity at the 66th Festival, dressing another TEN women for the amfAR Gala, including Sharon Stone and Kylie Minogue. For her fourth Cavalli gown in a row Sharon chose a stunning white gown detailing a gold snake and chain links at the back, whilst Kylie opted for another soft, embellished gown with a plunging neckline. Sorry Kylie, but Sharon piped you to the post again with her serpent friend.

As expected, shorter hemlines were few and far between, although mistress of ceremonies Audrey Tatou more than made up for it in an intricate custom made Lanvin dress, as did British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who opted for a fresh Christian Dior dress with an asymmetrical hemline. Milla Jovovich also looked angelic in her best gown yet - a floral Valentino Couture number with ruffled skirt - followed closely by another strong contender for best dressed, Stacy Keibler, who selected a purple Zac Posen mermaid gown with bow accent for the event. We also loved Dita von Teese's velvet Ulyana Sergeenko Couture dress (what's new, the burlesque star always looks impeccable), the beautiful Bonnie Wright in Prada, and supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, who stunned in a cream Couture gown by Zuhair Murad.
