Swimwear of the day: Retro bow bikini from What Katie Did
If pinterest is anything to go by, you've been loving our retro swimwear picks, so here's another to keep all you pin-up fans happy.
This is one of the new 2013 styles from What Katie Did, who also do an excellent line in corsets and bullet bras. The cute bows down the sides feature sexy little cutouts which give this is a bit more of a modern feel (you'd never see that much flesh in the 40s). Add a cleverly ruched top with wide-set straps and hidden cups for secret support, and you a have a great not-so-little bikini. It comes in navy, black or red, all with cream trims for a bit of a nautical touch.
If you're unsure about the high-waisted bottoms, there's also a swimsuit in the same design, with bows running down the bottoms two thirds. Prices start at £34.75. Be aware that What Katie Did cuts small on the waist (for example a size 14 is cut for a 29" waist, compared to 31.5" at New Look) so this range is particularly good if you have an old-fashioned hourglass body shape, but you may need to size up if you're apple shaped.
