Swimwear of the day: Dolce & Gabbana reversible bikini
One of my biggest disappointments this season is that nobody on the high street has done a proper job of paying homage to Dolce & Gabbana's incredible Sicilian love story of a Spring / Summer 2013 show. It was one of my favourite Spring / Summer shows, but due to the intricate prints, it's not been easy to copy on a budget. Sure, there are a few parasol-striped skirts and the odd souvenir print tee here and there, but none of them come close to the real deal.
Which is a shame, because who wouldn't want their holiday to resemble the brilliantly over the top advertising campaign?
So there remains only one way to get this look - save up and splash out. And perhaps the easiest way to do this is with swimwear, where the bold prints don't have the brash feel of the more extravagant sundresses and playsuits.
The classic triangle bikini is £365, but it's completely reversible, so you could argue it's actually two bikinis at £182.50 each. Still a luxury treat, but a little easier to justify perhaps?
