Love it or hate it? Carey Mulligan's May Vogue US cover
The Great Gatsby film has been in hot anticipation now for months after multiple delays with it's blockbuster release, but that's only adding to the curiosity style-wise for leading lady Carey Mulligan and her new 1920's look. Posing for the front cover of American Vogue's May issue, the actress channels her character, Daisy Buchanan, in the flapper girl styled shoot.
I get the feeling this is going to be a Marmite style front cover; you're going to love it or hate it. I personally, am on the love-it side. What's not to love? There is a slight awkwardness to the pose, but I get the feeling it's just her acting style. In fluro velvet dress, piled on art deco style jewellery, flapper girl turban hat and pin up style curls, I think I could get used to this look from Carey.
