christianlacroix_protection_creditors.jpgAs we inch closer to the end of the working week (huzzah!) here is what is making news headlines this morning:

1. Just as I get done talking about Marco Zanini's possible jump to Schiaparelli, the news breaks that Christian Lacroix is designing for the label. The fashion house will unveil a 15-piece capsule collection designed by Lacroix as a tribute to Elsa Schiaparelli during the Paris couture shows in July. Further "contemporary artists" will be invited to follow in Lacroix's lead to celebrate Schiaparelli on a yearly basis. Plus a new artistic director, who is yet to be named (Zanini?), will also develop further collections. Sounds like it's all hands on deck over at the soon-to-be revived label. {WWD}

2. It feels like the London Olympics were only yesterday, but already it is time to start thinking about the next Olympic Games in 2014 (Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Sochi) and 2016 (Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro). H&M have signed a four-year contract to dress the Swedish team. "The designs will bring together sport and fashion in a totally new way," said Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M's head of design. Darn those darn stylish Swedes. Grrr! {WWD}

Rita Ora Elle May cover

3. Rita Ora is turning heads on the May cover of Elle US. Starring on not one but two quirky/awesome covers, the young Brit was chosen to front the 'Women in Music' issue. Speaking to the mag, she revealed her rather abrupt approach to getting her hands on that Marchesa gown for the MTV Europe Music Awards.

"I went up to [Georgina Chapman] and said, 'Hi, I'm Rita. Nice to meet you. I need to wear your dress,'" Ora says. "She was like, 'What dress?' They've got 10 million dresses. I said, 'Look, I have your dress as the screen saver on my phone. This red dress needs to be on my body." Woah, okay. Don't mess with Rita, we got it! {Elle US}

4. Fans of the Fast & Furious movie franchise listen up! Guess has teamed up with Universal Pictures to create a capsule collection for men and women inspired by the upcoming release of Fast & Furious 6. I'm sure many will be wondering whether Vin Diesel or Paul Walker comes along with the price tag. {WWD}

5. Ever since I first heard that Emma Watson was teaming up with Sofia Coppola on a new film I have been hanging to see the first preview. Now the trailer for The Bling Ring, based on a true story of a group of fame-obsessed Hollywood teens who stole from celebrities including Rachel Bilson and Paris Hilton, has been released. You only have to refer to that GQ cover of Watson channelling a baby prostitute, à la Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman style, to see how this good girl may have gone bad... all for the sake of art of course. Check it out below.

6. Everyone is talking about Cara Delevingne making a guest appearance on Jourdan Dunn's online cooking show. But have you seen all the best GIFs from the episode? I doubt it. {Buzzfeed}
