Holly Willoughby reveals her new range with 'real women' models
Yesterday afternoon we took a trip to Claridge's to see Holly Willougby reveal her latest collection for Very.co.uk. This has become a bit of a seasonal event, but this time around, things were done a little differently.
As well as using professional models to show off her clothes, Holly recruited four ladies via the Very facebook page, to show how the clothes look on customers as well as models. Can you tell from the picture below which girls are the models and which are the new recruits?
The campaign to find these women has been dubbed 'Holly's Real Women'. While we're not fans of that phrase (we're pretty sure all women are 'real', including the actual models) we do support the idea of giving customers more involvement and showing how clothes look on women who are a wider range of ages, heights and dress sizes.
The lucky chosen women were Lucy (49), Janey (26), Aillie (23) and Emily (19). Here they are with Holly, modelling pieces from the new collection.
At the event Holly took us through the range, explaining that over the years working with Very, she has become more confident when it comes to collaborating on the designs. She's branching out into new fabric choices, and while there will always be certain things in any Holly collection (a tea dress, a bodycon dress, a slinky maxi) new styles like the halter playsuit and tropical print number (which Holly's already given to pal Kelly Brook) show a more adventurous side.
