We have watched Harry Potter superstar Emma Watson blossom from pretty little child actor, into a chic, sophisticated screen siren and style icon in her own right. But now, in a move we didn't see coming, Emma appears to have taken styling tips from non-other than Julia Roberts' 90s alter-ego, think Pretty Woman's hooker-with-a-heart, Vivian Ward.

Complete with tattoos and hair extensions; is she finally following in the footsteps of fellow teen starlets Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and the Olsen twins? Could Emma Watson actually be rebelling against her squeaky clean-cut image? Don't get excited just yet.

Emma, aged just 22, is more than a little experienced in shocking her fashion-following when last year she cut off her long locks into a daring and dramatic pixie-cut which actually proved to be the making of her, helping her shed her awkward teenage image. Fronting campaigns for the likes of Burberry and Lancôme, and working alongside Fair-trade fashion brand People Tree, Emma has cemented a credible name for herself in British fashion. But what's the verdict on her apparent new look?

Photographed for the cover of next month's GQ magazine wearing a cut-out dress (consisting of simple vest style top, blue skirt and silver ring detailing holding everything together), Emma is in actual fact dressed in character as her latest alter-ego, Nicki, for the forthcoming movie 'The Bling Ring'. Emma's character is a far-cry from good girl, Hermione Granger, in which she plays the part of a member of a group of fame-obsessed teenagers who robbed celebrities' homes (victims included Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson and Megan Fox). I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to seeing Emma in a more raunchy role. Let us know what you think of her GQ cover shoot in the comments below.
