rita ora superga ad spring 2013

Welcome to a brand new day (I'm sorry to say it's only Tuesday, and not Friday - bah!) Anyhoo, without any further ado here is your daily catch-up on what's currently making fashion news:

It feels like forever ago when we first caught wind of Rita Ora's new ad campaign for Superga. Actually it was only in October, but that's ages in fashion land. Now we get our first glimpse at the 22-year-old's debut campaign for the footwear brand, which was handed to her after Alexa Chung had to bail due to TV commitments in the US. When tinsel town beckons y'all... [Telegraph]

So, Girls season two finished on Sunday night. Here are four writers giving their perspective on the finale. Only please don't tell me, because I haven't seen it yet. Kay? [Guardian]

Proving that being pregnant doesn't mean you're forced to wear nothing but elasticised-waist leggings and muumuus is Kim Kardashian. This round-up of her 20 groundbreaking maternity style rules is freakin high-larious! Apparently leather leggings are totes fine if you're pregs by the way. [Buzzfeed Swift]

David Bowie is getting his own exhibition at the V&A. Rumours have it that Tilda Swinton, who starred alongside him in his music video for 'The Stars (Are Out Tonight),' will be impersonating Bowie at the opening of his exhibit this Wednesday because the man himself can't make it. Talk about androgyny overload. [WWD]

Lindsay Lohan has somehow managed to avoid going to jail (again). Seriously, she's like the cat with nine lives. A cat with some pretty major lawyers behind her. At least she was dressed quite nicely in an all-white 3.1 Phillip Lim ensemble as she fronted up to court yesterday. It has to be better than prison orange. [Fashionista]

Sophie, the Countess of Wessex has been appointed London College of Fashion's first ever patron. Her role will last for three years and will focus mainly on the college's Better Lives scheme, aimed at using fashion to encourage change and build a sustainable future. It's great to see another royal sharing the spotlight for a change. Agree? [Telegraph]

Gisele Bundchen isn't letting motherhood take up all of her attention. No siree! Instead she is the new face of Chanel's latest make-up range, Les Beiges. Part of this is a short film (watch below) which captures the Brazilian beauty powdering her face and strutting around. So just an average day for her really. [Hello!]
