rihanna givenchy tour costume sketches

To kick off yet another week here's what's been making news this weekend:

  • Rihanna is here, she is there, she is ruddy well everywhere right now. And now here is your first look at her new tour wardrobe. The popstrel kicked off her Diamonds World Tour on Friday night wearing custom Givenchy couture (sketch, pictured above). As you do! [WWD]
  • Alexa Chung has been spilling the beans on her upcoming book due for release later this year by Penguin. "It's good - it's really fun! I had a meeting with them [her publishers] this morning actually. It was a struggle before as I'm so visual - that's how I learn and imagine things. So when I was sending writing to them it was hard as I couldn't envisage it at all." As for what the book actually is about, she adds "I'm writing, I'm drawing and I'm taking photographs. It's definitely not an autobiography, but it's me writing so in a way it probably will have that element." [Vogue UK]

  • Is Charlize Theron the latest celeb to create her own fashion line? Word on the street is that the actress is planning to launch a denim collection. Apparently she and her stylist Leslie Fremar are shopping the idea for a Theron jeans line. Her rep says she can't confirm the rumour. Interesting... [THR]

  • Sarah Jessica Parker has given her two pence worth on what she thinks of The Carrie Diaries, the new teen spin-off to Sex and the City. And the verdict? She's not loving it. "I'm not sure... You know, I think it's one of those tests of your generosity. She [AnnaSophia Robb] is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about it, but it's... odd," she said. I have to agree. Anyone other than SJP playing Carrie is just, well... weird. [The Edit]

  • Myleene Klass has unveiled her first swimwear range for Littlewoods by modelling it herself. Naturally. [Daily Mail]

  • Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger have paired up to promote Louis Vuitton's AW13 collection via film. The duo, plus Isabelli Fontana and Edie Campbell, show off their acting chops as French prostitutes (watch below). Yes, you heard me right. The short film was directed by James Lima and debuted on the LOVE website. [Grazia UK]
