Dress of the day: Olympia Le-Tan vegetable dress
Olympia Le-Tan sun dress £820 at Browns >>>
Olympia Le-Tan is probably better known for her quirky clutch bags that look like books, which have been carried by the likes of Michelle Williams and Natalie Portman, but it turns out the designer is also a dab hand at equally quirky dresses.
This candy coloured confection is part of the S/S collection, which paid homage to the girl bands of the late 50s and early 60s, with cute prints, record-shaped handbags and a live performance of 'Be My Baby' by Ronnie Spector of the Ronettes. The cute little sundress with a gathered scoop neck, fitted waist comes in one of the show's big motifs - a pastel coloured vegetable print. It's got all the sweet appeal of a more obvious retro prints (think Prada's cars or Dolce's florals) but with a bit more of a sense of fun.
Who knew mushrooms and bulbs of garlic could be so cute?
