Shark dress by Tee And Cake £30 at Topshop >>>

Today's dress is a bit of a departure from our usual finds, but for those of you who're fed up of pretty dresses, it might just be the perfect alternative! The under the sea trend kicked off last year, with Chanel's sea shell clutches, Mary Katrantzou fish tank print and Versace's mermaid's and starfish. This season, it's taken a turn towards the darker side - forget those mother-of-pearl shades and tiny reef fish, now you're a walking shark attack.

I'd wager Tee And Cake's £30 bargain was inspired by Emma Cook (star of yesterday's 3 Ways To Wear) who put out a silk shark print tunic dress for Spring / Summer. The cheaper option doesn't have the subtlety of Cook's graphic print, but it is a lot of fun. Especially if you're a surfer with a sense of humour (or should that be dread?). I'd recommend dressing it down with a jacket on top (denim or leather are the obvious choices) so you only get a glimpse of the shark at first.
