What we wore to London Fashion Week AW13: Day Two
On the second day of London Fashion Week, the Catwalk Queen team split up across the city to bring you more show reports, backstage beauty gossip, and street style than you can shake a stick at. Take a look at what we wore on day two below - if you're inspired by any of our looks, you can shop them by clicking the links!
"Day two and the jeans have already come out - but these are no ordinary jeans! They're like flock wallpaper for your legs, and I love them. Also back for its third season is my huge Linea Pelle Dylan bag. I needed it today because the Moschino Cheap & Chic invitation was A4 and none of my other bags would hold it!"
"Another day, another Topshop heavy outfit; I can't help the fact that 90% of my wardrobe comes from there! My look today had to be able to go from day to night in one easy shoe change. I don't usually wear heels for Fashion Week, but having a pair under your desk for after parties comes in handy - this gorgeous pair from New Look were a recent last minute purchase."
Beauty Editor Steph wore a H&M dress teamed with a silk mesh overlay by John Rocha, vintage belt, a Topshop parka (not photographed but available here) and Topshop wedge boots.
"If I was more fashion-y I would probably say something clever about mixing delicate ruffles with a heavy parka, but basically it was pretty cold today and my outfit mostly consisted of mesh so it had to be done. Being the girl in the giant coat can be pretty irritating when you're backstage it has to be said, trying to squeeze your way between hairstylists, but what can you do. Today I swapped my red lipstick for a smoky eye stolen from John Pierre Braganza yesterday, although you can't really see it in this."
Contributing Editor Kate wore a fur and leather coat from Topshop, a H&M number varsity tee (shop a similar style here), and H&M boyfriend jeans. She accessorised with Urban Outfitters boots, a Zara bag, and a Topshop beanie.
"For day two of LFW, I've decided to go super casual and comfy to keep me going throughout the shows - I can't get enough of these American football varsity tees styled with casual separates".
Fashion Assistant Lucy wore a H&M black dress and beetle necklace, Topshop star belt, Dr Martens and a Richard Weston Liberty scarf, topped off with the usual bling and yesterdays coat.
"Today I spiced up my favourite LBD with gold bling and my most adored Richard Weston scarf; guaranteed to turn any outfit high fashion in seconds. I will always truly be a Liberty girl."
Street Style Photographer Hannah wore a netted beanie from Etsy, metallic tshirt from ASOS, American apparell leggings, vintage leather and sheepskin fur coat, vintage bumbag and Office brogues.
"My vintage coat always keeps me warm when I'm roaming the Show Space all day and I love my Jil Sander-esque beanie with veil - Etsy is great for bargain accessories. To break up the black I wore a metallic green t-shirt which Amy refers to as my Quality Street tee!"
